love the food and vibe - Edit
loved coming here, one of the few places in skaneatles that recognizes vegan diet on a menu. the decor inside is beautiful. while none of the dishes are labeled vegan directly, many can be modified. the waitress was knowledgeable about it and recommended the burrito bowl (and is the easiest to ask to be vegan). i added impossible meat to mine. it’s $10 to add which is the most i’ve ever seen, but the serving was so huge i got some of it to go. also got chips with salsa/guac/queso (not vegan but comes with the order). chips were fresh and tasted homemade. guac and salsa superior. #Veganuary

Very nice vegan Mexican food - Edit
Delicious fresh take on Mexican cuisine. Tons of gluten free options. A few items are marked as vegetarian and/or vegan, but apparently since the owners are vegan, anything can be made vegan at your request. This was fantastic news for me! The food, service and atmosphere were all stupendous! If you're in the area, I highly recommend it.

Great food! Not many vegan options - Edit
This was a great place to go for family dinner. Most people in our party are not vegan but I was happy to see they have impossible burger tacos and a few other vegan options including a burrito bowl. Though options are limited for our vegan fam, they are yummy options!

Wonderful lunch experience - Edit
I love the decor and super friendly Staff. It was very simple to swap regular menu items with one of their vegan options. I had the spiced jackfruit (instead of chicken) fajita tacos without cheese, which was delicious. I highly recommend.

Trendy Mexican restaurant with a couple vegan options - Edit
I really enjoy the bowl here and added beyond meat. My husband likes the vegan tacos. They don’t have a ton of vegan options but the ones they do have are tasty. It’s a bit pricey but filling and a nice evening out in a trendy spot

Tacos are always a good idea - Edit
May 2019 - High quality, fresh ingredients. Some items were a little spicy, which I prefer. Not many vegan options in this small town, so it’s great to have this affordable, fun spot.
Read moreI revisited in Oct. 2019 and had the Impossible tacos! They were outstanding.
Pros: Impossible burger tacos

I was talking to the owner of Elephant and the Dove this morning and he told me they will be having serving an Impossible Taco soon!!! I am so excited!!!!! The owner is vegetarian, so he appreciates the struggle to find really good vegan/vegetarian food!

Delicious - Edit
Elephant and the Dove is a new restaurant in Skaneateles.
Read moreThe nachos were my favorite dish! So much flavor and the combo of everything was perfect in each bite! The guacamole was perfect! I don't like my guac smooth like baby food, I like it with some texture and they did not disappoint! Perfectly seasoned!
Greens and beans quesadilla was delicious, especially with some rice and beans on the side.
We didn't end up getting dessert because we were so full from all of the dinner we enjoyed, but next time I will save room because the churros that the table next to us ordered looked fantastic!!
If you are in Skaneateles, it is definitely worth stopping for lunch or dinner!

Great atmosphere and food! - Edit
Just happened to look up this places menu because I thought the name was interesting and what a pleasant surprise! Food was great and the thought that went into the design of this place is awesome. It really was as great atmosphere for lunch. The tacos were great and a little different than your run of the mill Mexican food. Guacamole is to die for! So so good!
