Fine Dining @ affordable price - Edit
Wonderful lunch @ S$23.80++. The food are delicious, especially the pizza, so much better than other eateries.
After meal feeling is good and refreshing. My non-vegetarian friend is impressed and planning to visit again.
Pros: Affordable

Mid-range for different kind of veg menu - Edit
It's not bad with the same kind of pick and choose set menu concept of sufood, great presentation but flavours were not incredibly memorable. A nice change from the usual Chinese veg for a treat while still offering Asian flavours
Pros: Good variety, different options and dishes not ava
Cons: Pricy

Was very good when it opened, but standards went down - Edit
It's quite normal for restaurants to lose steam after a while, so this one is no different. The crowd just isn't there to keep the momentum. Which also means that it's great for a quiet meal and chat. It's still a pretty good mid-priced option.
Pros: Quiet and clean environment, Food is above average good
Cons: Standards went down quite a bit, Quite expensive (especially with lowered standards

Great value and good quality! - Edit
The ambience and food was so awesome we also focused so much on eating we have a few pictures only. But definitely going back for this #musttry. Love what they stand for – vegetarian, wholesome and minimum processing. We learn that elemen is backed by the Koufu chain; explains why they have the scale/marketing capability to attract a fairly good crowd on a weekday night for a vegetarian restaurant.
Food with great finesse for the price. More pictures and details at http://www.eatprayflying.com/elemen-thomson-plaza/
Pros: Ambience, Food Finesse
Cons: Relatively Inaccessible

delicious fusion-inspired set lunch - Edit
there's a promotion going on for weekday lunches at the thompson plaza branch until mid-october 2015, so that's where my mum and i headed last wednesday.
if you're familiar with sufood, another imported veggie restaurant, elemen operates on a similar mechanism, with a five-course weekday lunch set: a starter, salad/soup, main, dessert and drink.
we opted for two salads - avocado and quinoa - instead of soup. both were light and refreshing with delicious dressings (i haven't had teriyaki dressing in a vegetarian eatery before), and would have looked like they packed a punch had they been served in smaller bowls rather than on plates.
for our mains, we chose avocado rolls and braised golden-brown pumpkin with glutinous rice in hot stone. again, they were delicious without being too overpowering or filling.
my choice of dessert was chilled coconut puree, which in terms of richness was probably equivalent to or more than a main, while my mum's was the lighter osmanthus flower with grass jelly.
i don't like sweet drinks and requested for my grapefruit mojito to have less sugar. it was sour and had kick indeed.
with its similar style of service and presentation, it's hard not to compare this with sufood. i liked the mix of japanese and western options here (i'd describe this experience as a fusion of sufood and teng bespoke) and felt that elemen's dishes were lighter and not too heavy/cheesy as compared to sufood, which leans towards pasta/carb-based dishes. even the pizzas here, which we observed being delivered to a nearby table, seemed to be thin-crusted.
staff were friendly and one in particular shared his personal experiences and recommendations.
given the chance, i'd definitely like to come back to try other dishes.
Pros: interesting, delicious food, friendly staff
Cons: location
