No chance to be accommodated - Edit
We didn't get a chance to eat here! We called twice and sent an email asking if they could accommodate a party of 10. They said no, and that it is too big of a group, which is understandable - we offered to change it down to 6, and that we would be happy sitting at different tables etc. Phone call was inconclusive, so we went in. The treatment that we got was, so to speak, terrible. We were ridiculed to come in and ask for a table without a reservation (which we made several attempts to make), told off that we are in the middle of a pandemic (no kidding - haven't we all been through rough times?), and told that they were full tonight - with 3/4 of the tables being empty. Now I understand how reservations work and that those tables might have been booked, of course. Passing by on our way back (1-1.5h later) they were still empty. To be ridiculed, in the middle of an empty restaurant, because we asked for a table and a meal, is silly. Clearly they do not care about making business and struggle with the meaning of hospitality.

The reviews were promising, but it didn't really live up to the expectations. They just had a set menu with a few items to choose from, and it was mostly stuff that you could get in an ordinary place. Didn't taste much.

A really nice vegan restaurant in the beautiful old city centre. The restaurant is beautifully decorated smooth, relaxing ambiance, silent and spacious. The food is exquisite and delicious: classical mediterranean recipes with nothing missing.

Perhaps known for their desserts, the starters and mains did not disappoint. The food was creative, beautifully presented and flavourful.
The restaurant is quite large with multiple rooms, corners and nooks. This restaurant is perfect for any kind of dining experience. A table for one with a good book to a large celebration. I'm sure there have been many anniversaries, birthdays, promotions and wedding parties hosted in this beautiful space in a magical part of Tarragona.
I will definitely be visiting this restaurant as often as possible...

He ido ya unas cuantas veces a este restaurante y nunca jamás decepciona, la comida es esquisita y mira que soy exigente. Cuando salgo a comer fuera espero que me sorprendan con platos elaborados que yo misma no podría cocinar en casa, quiero un buen servicio y un ambiente agradable, El Vergel las cumple todas. El lugar es precioso perfecto para una cita o cualquier celebración. Las croquetonas son de orgasmo, el chorizo con chimichurri es de infarto, los postres los bordan!!! Salgo siempre redondisima de allí... Enhorabuena!

We liked the ambiance and the fact that our little dog was very welcomed. They offered him a blanket, water, and food. The croquet with rice and peas was great, and so were the desserts. The leek with chocolate dish was a little strange. The pasta and pizza were very good, but not as memorable as the croquet and desserts. The staff was super nice and helpful. The prices were a bit expensive, but worth it for a date night.

El Vergel es el restaurante de comida vegana más conocido de Tarragona. El local es muy chulo, me encanta la decoración. La comida está rica pero para mi gusto poca cantidad, personalmente me quedé con hambre. Lo mejor ¡los postres! El servicio es correcto pero me hubiera gustado algo más de interacción. Aún así, totalmente recomendable.

Everything about this restaurant is 5 stars. The vegan chorizo was so tasty, the desserts are the best I have eaten and everything on the menu was delicious. Fantastic service and an absolutely gorgeous restaurant. Will definitely be back!

La camarera no fue especialmente amable o atenta.
La comida estaba muy buena, comimos dos menús completos, había poca variedad de platos, la pasta y el risoto estaban buenos.
Un poco caro en cuanto al precio.
Un buen sitio que visitar pero no creo que vuelva.
Mejor para cenas más formales.

BUT:
You cannot order only one meal, you should take all three dishes, even if you don't need them.
For example, my son, 4 years old wanted only 1 specific meal and we had to order all 3!!! And we couldn't order additional the same meal when he finished and asked for more...

J'ai beaucoup aimé ce aue j'y ai mangé la bas bien que les pportions étaient un peu petite, avec entrée, plat et dessert, j'ai quand réussi á manger un gros cookie apr`s.
Les repas y sont tout de même très bons et élaborés
(j'aurai mis une note équivalente à 3.5)
