Lovely service and good food - Edit
The staff member working here is amazing, such a lovely guy! The food is tasty too, had dinner here a couple of times and wasn't disappointed.

Great place with a huuuuuge menu, and totally vegan. I didn’t realise the venue was so big, it was only when we went to leave we realised there were whole other rooms, and a rooftop terrace. We enjoyed the selection of games and books while we waited for our food.
Read moreMy partner and I both had burritos, they were huge but about a 6/10 for flavour - both were really lacking in sauce. Onion rings on the side were perfection.
The owner here was a super friendly, genuine man and was vegan himself. If we had longer in Arequipa we would’ve come back and tried some other dishes, I think the ones we selected were not their best.
Pros: friendly vibes, 100% vegan, reasonably priced & generous portions
Cons: burritos not the best

New owner - now 100% vegan! - Edit
We met the new owner & he told us it is now 100% vegan. They no longer do a set menu but there are plenty of options on the menu. We tried the eggplant & chorizo sandwiches on sourdough & both were very tasty. He makes his own kombucha & we had the lemon verbena - very very good! Not as inexpensive as other places with set menus but the food is high quality & big portions. We will be back!

Food is good, it's a safe option in Arequipa. The space is cosy, with some games to play while you wait. There's a lot of options! But the best part is definitely the owners - so so kind.

Un lugar muy lindo con comida muy rica y saludable. Hay gatitos muy cute que a veces salen a saludar. Tienen menú y platos a la carta muy rico. Sus tortas también son buenísimas y se las puede pedir completas con anticipación. El staff es muy amable.

Great daily menu, burgers, wraps, and sweet potato fries! - Edit
I have been here a handful of times and always had a great time. The daily menu is a nice option, but I prefer the burgers or wraps! The restaurant is cute, has nice decorations, and always has great music. The two owners are extremely polite and friendly. There was a time that there were two children playing with a kitchen. Good vibes, tasty food, clean food, healthy food, and good prices!

Very charming and cozy place, i enjoyed having lunch many times there, my favorite place was the small backyard, the food is reasonable cost and quantity, flavours are like eating at home.

El Veggie has moved to this quite large space with a variety of seating options, allowing for easy social distancing. Very thoughtful decor with plants, lights etc. Small menu with nice options and cheap prices, and puddings! Nice, helpful staff. Good to have a vegan restaurant in this area. It was quiet and needs some more customers!

I had the menu del dia and it was a nicely balanced and simple meal. This is of the few places in Arequipa with a more hippie and colourful vibe. There were lots of delicious looking vegan cakes on offer that I didn’t try because I was perfectly full. Nicely priced at 9 soles!

Overall, I was disappointed with this place. As of November 2018 the meal of the day costs 9 soles. It came with a bowl of clear soup with potato chunks and giant corn kernels. Followed by the main plate that only contained rice and beans. I expected to see three or four items on the same plate and to receive a plate with just rice and beans is just way too boring. If this had been the first time I'd been to a vegetarian restaurant I probably never would have gone to another one again. The lack of creativity surprised me. I'll give them three cows for acceptable basic food but no more. (4 cows for the friendly service and 2 cows for the food). I guess they're doing something right because they have other good reviews on here but once was enough for me.

Nice people but all parts of my lunch menu were really boring. Asked for hot sauce and only received a spoonful. I'd suggest El Puente, Pippala, or Omphalos instead.

small really cosy lovely vegan restaurant - Edit
We had lunch here and got served the daily menu. It consisted of soup, rice and mushroom ragout and a little salad and dessert was fruit puree. We also got a can of vegan lemonade and the owner is super friendly. Everything together costed 9 sol per person, which is about €2,25!

Comimos el menu del dia. Tuvimos suerte y ese dia era todo vegano. El sitio es muy acogedor y hay ambiente familiar. El menu nos costo 8 soles y la bebida y el postre estan incluidos.
