Not vegan friendly - Edit
This restaurant has chicken broth in it’s rice and lard and it’s beans. We went in and left. I don’t think it should be on Happy cow.

Delicious food! - Edit
I had the veggie chimichanga with beans and rice. Everything was super flavorful, service was friendly, great experience overall. I would come back, especially since they have so many veggie options! Seriously some of the best Mexican food I’ve had in a while - and I spent the last two years in Texas

Needs Improvement - Edit
Use fresh ingredients and traditional vegetables in fajitas and burritos. Skip frozen mixed vegetables usually seen in pot pie in Mexican dishes. Use less onions in the guacamole.

Not very tasty - Edit
Tbh we didn‘t like their food. It didn‘t look pleasant, it wasn‘t healthy and afterwards we felt a little sick. We ordered the Burrito and Enchilada without cheese but as I read another review they might cook the rice in chicken broth... I thought it said the burrito comes with veggies but I had rice and beans only.

No entrees are vegan - Edit
We made our own tacos by ordering a lot of sides and double checking what is in the food. You can’t order any of their vegetarian choices as entrees because they are cooked with butter. The rice is cooked with chicken stock. We ended up getting chips, salsa, pico de gallo, whole beans, corn tortillas, and the large guacamole. Quite expensive guac for a place like this. Service was below par as well, we had to ask for a different server after our original never came back. Put a pic of what we ordered for vegans passing through, this town doesn’t have a ton to offer but there IS a Walmart btw!

Good food, poor execution - Edit
Note: DOG FRIENDLY
Read moreThe authentic parts of the meal were phenomenal: complementary chips and salsa, the fried shell of the chimichanga, the rice. But they do not try very hard to accommodate vegans. Some menu items don’t list cheese as an ingredient but cheese still comes with the dish so be careful (this is the case for the crispy rellenos).
And for the veggie chimichanga, much disappointment. I was expecting like fajita veg in the middle but instead was what looked to be a bag of frozen mixed veggies of peas, broccoli, corn, etc. Not what I want in a chimichanga 🤷🏼♀️
I was glad to have options in Page, but wish it was a touch better
Pros: Authentic Mexican food , Good food for being one of the only options, Free chips and salsa
Cons: Weren’t very aware of what vegan is, Minimal effort to make good vegan/vegetarian food

Decent family restaurant for the area - Edit
Whole vegetarian section on the menu. Fajitas can be easily veganized! They substituted white beans for refried beans for me without difficulty. The only downside is the veggie fajitas were literally frozen vegetable mix... Not great. Oh and apparently I ate chicken stock flavored rice, yikes.

Good - Edit
There aren’t a ton of options in Page, but this was pretty good. I got the veggie fajitas and while I’m not a huge fan of all the random veggies they put in the mix (celery?), I appreciate that it was seasoned well and the waitstaff was very nice and attentive.

Ok when options are very limited - Edit
18% automatic tip.
Read moreWe are here two times and realized this on second visit. So likely tipped 33% the first time. Classic tourist trap type system.
(Dura Thia had lots of complaints about the same thing and they have stopped doing it)
All vegan/vegetarian options are basically the same foods in different configurations. All seem to be make with bags of frozen mixed vegetables including crinkle cut carrots, green beans, Lima beans etc.
If you asked for both cheese and sour cream to be left off they won’t replace that with even a tiny bit of guacamole. You’ll just pay regular price for less stuff.
Finally, first visit husband and I got fajitas. The usual on a hot black frying pan. Sides on a separate plate etc. the usual. Second visit teen age son decided to try this dish. But for him they brought all squished on a plate. Maybe different chef? Table next to use also had someone who ordered fajitas and she got the usual black frying pan. In fact hers came out flaming. I felt a little disappointed for my son he did not have either experience.
Pros: Vegetarian options can easily be make vegan, Brightly decorated
Cons: 18% mando tip, Filling is largely frozen mixed veges , Inconsistent

Nice food with big portions - Edit
Food here was really good for value. Was full to the brim after my meal. They also gave us a basket of complementary tortillas at the start, which they also refilled when we had ate them all. Was busy and the service was very quick and staff were friendly. Very easy to make any of the veggie options vegan.

Canned veggie medley - Edit
I ordered the veggie enchilada, which was described as having grilled veggies, rice and beans inside. What I got were enchiladas that were stuffed with what seemed like a canned veggie medley - carrots, peas, Lima beans and green beans, and cauliflower. It was pretty unpleasant.

Vegan options in a tiny town - Edit
The restaurant had several options available in their vegetarian section of the menu which were easily made vegan by omitting dairy products and choosing the “cholesterol free” rancho beans. The staff kindly accommodated these requests. I ordered the enchiladas which were filled with an assortment of veggies. The flavor wasn’t out of this world but the choices available and the friendliness of the staff exceeded my expectations.

Yummy chips and salsa - Edit
Service was a tad bit slow but it was lunch hour rush. The chips and salsa were great. I really appreciated the waiter double checking to see if the rice was vegan friendly (it wasn’t because of chicken broth), BUT he gave me extra beans instead with my custom order veggie enchiladas. I really appreciate their accommodations!

beware, the beans are not vegan! - Edit
I ate here twice. The first time I explained what vegan was and had corn chips with guacamole and a 'veggie' burrito without cheese and sour cream. The second time there was another waitress, she told me the beans (I had before) weren't vegan (contained pork), so I had a burrito with only lettuce and rice.

They have really great service and it's a cute little family owned restaurant. The margaritas are huge and v strong also.
Would definitely recommend this place.
Pros: Great food. , Great service. , Strong drinks.
Cons: They also serve meat and dairy.

Careful w/ Butter, Otherwise Good - Edit
This is a good restaurant, and they have a whole section on their menu for vegetarians. The waiters/ waitresses (at least the one we had) didn't really understand what vegan was. In the end, I got a veggie fajita. They DO fry vegetables in a combination of oil and butter, but the will fry them in just oil if you ask.

Super cute little spot with really cool colorful decor, perfect for Instagram shots? Get the veggie burrito with no sour cream and no cheese! The portions are big and the prices are pretty good. About 12$ a plate. Service was great and happy to answer any questions. Ask for the full menu for all the veg options!?

Vegetarian items are marked with a leaf and included a burrito, chimichanga and fajita entree. If vegan, make sure you ask for no sour cream and no cheese (even if the menu doesn't list those things for your item). Chimichanga came with cheese inside. Burrito insides were vegan and cheese was on top. Spanish speakers will be at home here.
