Cool spot if you like beer and Mexican food - Edit
While I wish they had some sort of vegan crema/cheese alternative and maybe a vegan protein besides mushrooms, the food is pretty tasty and they make great beer. Plus I’m a sucker for supporting a proud queer and POC owned business. Also I appreciate their nice single stall bathrooms in both locations!

Cons: Pricy (typical tho) , No table service at this one , Lacking a veg meat or cheese swap

Sweet Potato Mole - Edit
I appreciate how they had two vegan tamale options. I got the sweet potato mole but they also had fajita veggies that looked good. I’m not the biggest tamale fan but I appreciated how filling one sweet potato mole tamale was, especially with refried beans and carrots on the side.

Love this place! - Edit
I love their, as my family would call them, bomber tamales (huge!). Yes they have a lot of masa but I think that's why I love them, it's always been my fav part! But I do think they could use more sauce to balance it out. They have two types of vegan tamales but sadly are usually out of the soyrizo ones. But when you can get one, chef's kiss! Rice and beans are delicious and both vegan which is very rare for Mexican food. Love that they have a few cocktails too, and do lots of fun events like drag shows. I love this place.

Okay-ish - Edit
Craft brewery (how many are there in Bellingham?) that serves Mexican food. As you can see from the menu, the options are rather limited - one vegan tamal, or of course you can leave out 50% of the main ingredient of the vegetarian ones to make them vegan as well...
Read moreThat said, the menu states everything very clearly, and the staff is attentive to your requests - I was called back to the kitchen to clarify one of my choices with the chef..
The tamales themselves I did not found overwhelming, too much masa for my taste (about 1 cm thick sides), which puts it in danger of being dry and also somewhat bland.
Not sure if there are Mexican alternatives in town, but if you feel like some chips and salsa while sitting in a brewery why not?
Pros: Attentive crew
Cons: Few options, Tamal ratio masa/filling
