Great options in Vieques - Edit
Vegetarian items are marked on the menu and staff is knowledgeable about veganism. We had the cauliflower bites and the Pollo Jibarito Vegano. Both were tasty.
Read moreEl Plaza was up and running on generators even though the power was out on the island. Would have liked a little more of the plant based chicken ( lightly breaded tofu) but the rice and the tostones were delicious and I still had leftovers.
Sometimes they have vegan desserts but unfortunately none were available the night we were there.

Good Selection of Vegan Options - Edit
Great atmosphere with friendly service. The menu had several vegetarian and vegan options with most vegetarian meals able to be made vegan. Reasonably priced. There was a pumpkin soup on special that was vegan and not listed on the menu. I had the impossible chicken with gravy and potatoes. It was excellent. So glad I stumbled on this place and can say with certainty, I highly recommend it.

Lots of Delicious Vegan Options! - Edit
Charming atmosphere in an historic open air building right on the town’s main square (plaza). Very vegan friendly with four vegan entrees and at least one vegan appetizer (fried cauliflower bites). I had the vegan mofongo and my husband had the vegan meatloaf with Impossible meat. The new owner changed the name to simply El Plaza.

Note: I would give 5 stars, but the app doesn't let me because the restaurant serves meat. But their vegan options are awesome and I'd give them 5 stars!
