Didn't open for lunch - Edit

We had reseached and chosen this establishment to eat Saturday lunch at from all the others in Zaragosa. We checked its opening hours on here and looked at its Facebook site for any last minute announcements. We were therefore very disappointed when we arrived well after 1pm and there was no sign of it opening.

Pros: Didn't get to find out.

Cons: Wasn't open when it said it would be.

Menu of the day - Edit

I was on the road from Madrid to Barcelona. Zaragoza is a half way so I decide to stop and have a lovely vegan lunch. They had menu of the day (8.5 €) with Hummus and Milaneses de Patata con salsa de champiñones y almendras. It was so tasty. I enjoy it so much. I took a chocolate cake for take away and it was so amazing. The food is soo good and not expansive. I do recomend.

All-vegan restaurant - Edit

I was already super happy with this place before I even went. I definitely didn't think I'd find an all-vegan establishment in this area of the country.

Since we were the first ones there, they let us choose our table. I LOVE that. I like to take pictures of my food, so I will always choose a table by the window when given the option.

We started with an appetizer that came with baked potatoes and 5 different dips. I assumed this would be like oven-baked fries, but when it came out, it was actually just baked potatoes, cut in half, and sprinkled with salt. One of our 3 baby potatoes had a bad spot on it, so that showed lack of attention to detail in my eyes. However, one of the sauces was a tartar sauce, and it was SO GOOD.

I ordered a sandwich with marinated tofu, lettuce, tomato, avocado, and olives. The sandwich was enormous! It was definitely a good deal at 6euros since it ended up being 2 meals. The problems with the sandwich were that it came out dry with zero condiments, and that the tofu tasted really plain. I guess it's a spanish thing to serve dry sandwiches with no condiments or sauces, but I was very much not expecting it. I live in the SF bay area where we have places like Ike's and Butcher's Son that serve sandwiches so messy that you needed a stack of napkins to eat them. I like my sandwiches very flavorful. It might have been this lack of sauce that really accentuated the fact that the "marinated" tofu was hardly marinated at all. It tasted like someone opened a package of firm tofu, squeezed some lemon on it, and charred it for a few minutes. Not good.

My partner ordered a stew, which I tasted some of the sauce, and it had a lot of flavor. I recommend avoiding the tofu sandwich and ordering the stew instead.

Luckily, the service was good, and they had wifi, so it made for a pleasant experience nonetheless.

Pros: free wifi, tartar sauce was sooooo good, nice staff

Cons: difficult to find parking, tofu sandwich not great

Very good food - Edit

I recommend trying this place. The food is very good and totally vegan. Not too expensive. Mostly small plates - sort of tapas - but satisfying and there are tofu dishes available for vegan protein. Desserts are good too.

lovely place. - Edit

what a wonderful place to eat! in the heart of the old city, you will find it difficult to choose from the wide variety of yummy vegan dishes. and menu is super cheap, just 7 euros for two dishes you'll absolutely love.
one of the great thing about this place: many many choices for us, gluten intolerants!!!
do not miss it!

Pros: many gluten free dishes, cheap, great service

El Plato Reberde - Edit

Its one of the best restaurants i ever met. Exellent food, quality, taste, many dishes, and extremly cheap (7 euros an awesome menu with 2 dishes). I went with a non vegan/vegetarian person, and she was so amazed by it that she is starting to change her diet.
The desserts are worth to try.
The service is friendly and efficient.
For sure i will came back and i recomend it to any person who wants to eat healthy and good.

Pros: Quality, Quantity, Price

Cons: No Cons
