Authentic Tapas - Edit

You'll get authentic and delicious Tapas at this place. It is a very busy place though, so the staff seems stressed out and is not very patient with you if you don't speak Spanish well enough.

Pros: Authentic , Delicious Food

Cons: Too Busy

Exceptionally tasty tapas - Edit

I went to El Paladar on the strength of the reviews on here. It was hands down my favourite meal in all my time in Seville.

My partner is a coeliac, and we're both vegan, so eating at restaurants can be pretty tricky. The couple running the bar could only offer two gluten free vegan options, but they were very accommodating, and served my love the most delicious falafel they have ever tried! My partner was gobsmacked (they're a gf, vegan chef, and an absolute food dork). I had a non-gf croquette, which was rich, smooth in the middle and perfectly crisp on the outside - it was mouth-wateringly good.

I really can't stress enough how much I enjoyed the food here. The chef clearly knows what she's doing, but it's all served in such an unpretentious way, and at a reasonable price.

Brutal hamburguesa de lentejas - Edit

No he comido hamburguesa más tremenda que esta. El único fallo es que no es restaurante completamente vegano 🙃

well-marked veg options - Edit

I've been at El Paladar a few times and find it a good alternative if you don't want to go to Alameda Rock/Organic's/Veganitessen/Gaia.

There are three separate menus: standard, vegetarian and vegan, and the number of options is impressive. It gets pretty crowded from 21:00 onwards for dinner, so try to get there early! At lunchtime is usually fine.

Pros: Great choice of veg options

family run - Edit

We enjoyed our meal at El Paladar. The food was tasty. The vegan menu is clearly posted the the woman who is cooking clearly understands vegan. They suggested a lentil pottage to start that was delicious. I had couscous with vegetables and my husband had the vegan lasagna.

This is a hole in the wall restaurant, fun to walk the neighborhood and find this place. Off of Avenida Hercules which is a nice promenade. We would go back.

Pros: home cooked meals, vegan clearly signed

be sure to say "veganos por favor" - Edit

As others say, there are three boards with tapas menus, one all vegan. We had spinach cannelloni & "papas y mojo" (crispy almost like roast potato with a red dipping sauce). For 2 beers each & 2 tapas we were full - it came to Eu10.40. Bargain!
But it does get busy and as they have some items on both vegan and other board... It's worth stressing if you are vegan, just to be clear!
I think this may be a family run place and that is rather lovely :)

Delicious food! - Edit

While obviously not all vegan/vegetarian, they still have some amazing parodies, including the most amazing vegan lasagne I have ever eaten. I liked it so much a ordered another one to take away. One of the waiters was really nice and spoke very good English, if you can't speak Spanish. Very reasonable prices, highly recommended :)

Excellent and long list of vegan/vegetarian options! - Edit

While they also serve meat, El Paladar has really great vegan and vegetarian options - including an entire separate menu for vegans with 10-15 options. Choices seem to rotate, but included lasagna with soy meat, spinach pasta in a "cream" sauce, roasted eggplant, cous cous, croquettes, papas y mojo, among others. Nice, laid back vibe. Cash only

Pros: Tasty food, Lots of options, Friendly staff

Cons: Cash only

Don't waste any time... - Edit

... stop what you're doing and if you're anywhere near El Paladar, go there right now!

This looked like a regular tapas bar from outside , but inside there's a full vegan menu and a full vegetarian menu in addition to the 'standard' selection. Food is delicious and staff are both friendly and knowledgeable - one of a very small number of places where they were actually aware of the differences between different types of veg*n diets and what is/isn't acceptable.

Pros: Lovely food, Very reasonably priced, Friendly staff

Cons: You might eat too much!
