Great rooftop spot - new location - Edit
While hard to find, we both enjoyed our vegetarian meals for lunch. Now located on January 29 on Abasolo with the Dulce Argento restaurant, sharing the space up the stairs. However, we were assured that the two kitchens are separated so meat does not mix with the vegetarian food.

Pros: Good portion sizes, Quiet away from the street upstairs, Reasonable price, good service

Update from today: I had two slices of bread, one with avocado e the second with cashew cream hummus. Both delicious. Text from earlier this week: It is a very cute and peaceful place. I had the chickpea crepe with vegetables and coffee. Loved it.

I love going to El Meraki! They offer fresh, healthy plant-based and vegan food and smoothies that are both delicious and nutritious. A personal favorite of mine is the freshly baked sourdough bread with a variety of toppings; it’s always a treat! I also recommend trying their chickpea crêpes - they are absolutely delightful.

A little slice of paradise on paradise Island - Edit
Everything about El Meraki is heavenly, the food, vibe, energy, the owner and her staff ~ so much love and devotion poured into every aspect. It is the only place on the island serving pure vegan/vegetarian food and the sourdough bread was so delicious and a work of art, it’s hard to find like this in Mexico.

Limited Menu - Edit
I was silly to not research on the menu before getting here. It’s expensive and has limited options. Not worth the effort. The hospitality on the other hand was warm and welcoming. #Veganuary

Delicious and healthy - Edit
I ate here twice while on the island visiting and I really enjoyed it both times. The first time I got the sour dough bread, one with avocado and the other with the cashew cream, and an apple orange celery juice. The second time I got a cold brew with coconut milk and agave, and the sweet crepe that had cashew cream and fruit compote. It’s priced average for a vegan whole food place. Everything on the menu is vegan and gluten free, and the only non-vegan thing is adding organic farm eggs. They’re near the ferry and playa Norte which is an awesome location too. I highly recommend stopping in! They did just open as of 5 days ago from today (January 4, 2023) so there’s some trial and error and the service can take a little longer, but this is also normal in the Mexican culture too. The little sitting area is really cute and there’s an upstairs too. The staff are very friendly and they speak both Spanish and English. The sourdough bread was so fresh and yummy. Super cute spot and recommend checking it out!
