Really nice place, only one vegan option

They are able to substitute with palmitas. That's the only option available. Tacos only. We just ended up purchasing drinks & went somewhere else.

YUM

Enchiladas with Palmita are vegan and delicious! Served with delicious coconut pineapple rice, a plantain, beans and a pineapple salad/salsa. So so soooo good!

Boyfriend got the falafel palmita tacos and enjoyed those as well. We will be back!

Vegan options available but they’re not very good

Overpriced and although vegan friendly, it’s really bland

Yummy falafel tacos

A few locals had suggested this place as vegan-friendly so went here for my first meal in San José del Cabo with my travel companion who is an omnivore (we were saving Chula for breakfast the next day!) We loved it, the setting is perfect, laid back, beachy and plays up the sailor theme. We ordered hibiscus and tamarind juice margaritas which tasted super fresh (but a bit too tart for our American palates!) I ordered the falafel tacos substituting hearts of palm for shrimp, with a side of the coconut pineapple rice and black beans which are vegan already. My friend ordered the green ceviche (seafood) tostada which she enjoyed very much. The meal came with homemade tortilla chips, onion salsa and their famous black sauce which seems to be made of black olives. I would recommend this place if you're with non-vegans, for vegans I would say it is still quite limited but what is offered is fresh and delicious.

Pros: Yummy vegan substitution offered , Ambience super chill and kitschy, Friendly service

Cons: Could use more vegan options

Falafel Tacos

We ordered the falafel tacos (without shrimp), they were great! The side of coconut rice/beans/plantains was also vegan, not to mention huge. It’s a quaint spot with all-outdoor dining for the ocean vibes. In a place with limited options for vegans, we were grateful to find this place.

Other vegan options include a falafel burger, chips/guac, or sub heart of palm for meat/seafood on tacos
