A curate's egg of a place - Edit

Rocked up while waiting for a boat trip and on asking was told they had vegan options. It was quite quiet so lots of tables available, although the ones right by the sea had a €4 surcharge, so we opted for another table. Luckily it wasn't crowded so we had the choice.

I asked if the moussaka was vegan and ion being told yes that's what I ordered. However, when it arrived it had cheese on top so I pointed this out to the waiter. He was very apologetic and got the kitchen to make me a special vegan option (basically aubergine, courgettes, potatoes, peppers and onion).

It was very nice and I was charged €4 less than the moussaka. I wasn't too perturbed - anyone can make a mistake and they acted quickly and thoughtfully to rectify it.

The staff were friendly and the place had a nice ambience. Unlike other posters, we got served almost immediately and I thought there was a decent amount of room between the tables. No live music either

Cons: No communication between waiter and chef, Not much choice for vegans, Ridiculous surcharge for tables by the sea

Nice setting - Edit

The food was quite tasty, although there was only one veg main course on offer. However, the service was awful. We waited ages, two different servers kept coming over to ask the same thing. We didn't get our drinks until we chased them and then they still arrived after the food. The tables were really close together which made me feel uncomfortable. The night we went there was live music, of which I am normally a fan, but the pair on that night were just doing very poor covers of pop songs and it did not add to the ambience at all. The restaurant is in a lovely position on the harbour but the night we went they had some nasty plastic sheeting down (the weather was not that bad) and so we couldn't see the view at all. We had booked and they had our names and table number on full view in the entrance which also made me uncomfortable from a privacy point of view. We wouldn't go here again.

Cons: Very bad service, Ambience, Privacy
