Good range of dishes

We went there for lunch and had several vegan dishes incl. lomo saltado, spaghetti al diablo, lentil soup, salat etc. All of them were fresh. It was pretty empty, so the Corona rules could be easily followed with enough space.

Pros: Many options, Good price, Friendly staff

Cons: None

Bit strange

This place was really busy with locals and tourists, so it's clearly popular. Maybe I was missing something, or just a bit confused as I'd only just arrived in Peru, but I found the staff unhelpful and the food quite bland and too salty.

Be aware that it's the kind of place where people share tables when it gets busy (without asking) - I didn't mind, but it won't be for everyone.

Pros: Lots of options

Cons: Bland food, Unhelpful staff

Lunch Menu

Lunch menu is now 10 Soles. Main course of the lunch was not vegan but veganized upon request (left out the eggs of the filling). Big portions and good value for money.

Pros: Cheap menu

Good food, lots of it, very affordable

I just ate a massive vegan dinner for 7soles. Just over $2usd.

Sure other reviews mention vegan options around Cusco, which there definitely are. But they're usually about 30-40 soles. If you've been traveling awhile and on a budget this place is definitely worth a meal!

Pros: Vegan, Tasty, CHEAP

Cons: Not "trendy"

Great food for little money

We went to this restaurant several times for breakfast, lunch and dinner. the daily lunch menu variates and you get for just 8 Sol (!) soup, main dish, drink and a small salat bar. Orders from menu are huge portions. Everything is very delicious...

Good food but slow service

I've been here two times now. The food is wonderful and you get a lot for the price you pay and they have a few vegan options, but both times it took a long time for them to bring the food.

Pros: Cheap , Good portions

Cons: Slow service

Much better options close by.

Its a handy location, but in truth there are so many really progressive Vegan and Vegetarian places within short walks it's hard to be excited about the place: staff seemed just nonplussed with it all. food was ok, the washroom is a bit grim (and opens right into the main dining area too!

Pros: Location, reasonable prices

Cons: Lacklustre dishes, Lacklustre staff!, Grim loo.

Delicious!

Not entirely vegan but it does not label itself as vegan... it says vegetarian on the door! There are loads of vegan options on menu. Prices are mid range. Some items more expensive than others. I got a soy burger (no cheese) and chips for 12 soles & it was a massive portion.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Great decoration and atmosphere, Friendly staff

Skip this place—there are better options in Cusco

The sign out front said vegetarian, and I did not see any fish on the menu, so I would reclassify this as a vegetarian restaurant. We ate here because we saw it on the way to the Pisco Museum. I guess I should have read the ratings first. Food was OK, atmosphere was minimal, and the service was non-existent. Both people working the front-of-house were on their phones the entire time. Save your time and money, and go somewhere else.

Pros: none

Specialized in vegan dishes and tasty vegan menu for 9 soles

We came here tree times. The first time to eat a soup with homemade bread, the second for the lunch menu and the third for buying bread. Each time is was very tasty and the ingredients of good quality! For 9 soles you get a lunch menu with soup, salad bar, main course and a homemade drink. We want to emphasize here that the categorization as place that offers only vegan options can be misleading. Fish is only offered for people that accompany vegetarians and vegans but they offer mainly vegan and vegetarian options. So don’t hesitate to come here and try it out.

Pros: Specialized in vegan dishes unlike other places, Nice owner and service , Vegan bread

Great soup for when you’re feeling cold

It’s true I only ate here the quinoa vegetable soup (12 soles), but I came back twice. So that’s what I know is super good. The soup is huge and fulfilling and abundant in quinoa and veggies. I was dealing with a cold so I asked for it to be super hot and I felt so good after!

Cheap and Okey food

The food was filling, the first dish was Okey, simple, the salad was alright and the second dish nice and tasty. The best thing is that all menu was vegan except a sauce for the salad.i was happy to go there, specially the price, quite fair, 8 soles.

Pros: Vegan lunch, Cheap

Cons: Not fully vegan

Food is quite bland

This is a good place if you happen to be in the city centre for lunch and don't want to spend too much money. Salad bar is very basic but the veggies are fresh and nicely cut. Soups and mains lack in flavours in general (no spices or herbs). We also had a la carte burgers and they were very dry, you needed to add the sauce yourself (ketchup and mustard). Staff is not rude but not friendly either. I speak Spanish but I found that they were speaking very very fast and did mind repeating when I asked to.

Pros: central location , cheap lunch , Peruvian dishes

Cons: food is quite flavourless , staff isn't welcoming

just ok

It wasn't bad. I ordered the double burger. It came with literally nothing on it. Just bread and two veggie parties. My wife's gluten limitó was better, but her soup was seriously lacking. It is very cheap, but there are other cheap options in town.

good & cheap

The food is good and quite cheap. You have to ask which meal is vegan because a lot of the menu is only vegetarian.

Decent alternative with local flavor

The main reason to recommend El Encuentro is as a change of pace from the local vegan restaurants, when the latter are closed or when one wishes to sample veg versions of regional staple dishes, which El Encuentro does well enough to be worth a visit if you're nearby. I had the Duetto, which was hearty and satisfying. Prices are reasonable for the generous portions.

Some vegan options

We visited here after going to Green Point for lunch. The menu is petty extensive. I recall there being a handful of vegan options. We went with a burger and lomo saltado. The burger was very basic but okay. And the lomo saltado was okay. It wasn't my favorite place in Cusco but glad there was a variety of vegan options.

Not the BEST veg place in Cusco, but still great.

This place is located right in the touristy part of Cusco, and I think considering that, the prices are quite good. Going for the set lunch menu is the best deal. You get salad, soup, entre, and tea for 8 soles. I don't recommend the lentil burgers, I got one one time and it was a little overcooked. The french freis are really good though! I also had the face meat sandwich once (supposed to be llama I think) and it was quite rich and meaty, I was almost was unable to finish it. Not my favorite veggie place, but again if you get the set lunch menue its a great deal and you will leave full!

Pros: Cheap, Ideally Located, Fresh, hot food.

Cons: Busy During Lunch (Have to Share Tables), Bread on the sandwiches isn't great
