Lovely experience

This is a bit of an upmarket restaurant. The menu only offers what is currently available from the farm and is super fresh, in fact they don't have a menu as such - just inform us what is available on the day. Both veg and vegan offerings were delicious, all courses. It's a lovely environment too, with gorgeous views and the owner came out to chat with us. It was more expensive than other Vinales restaurants but understandable. You can get the circular hop-on, hop-off Vinales bus and the driver will you drop you off there and pick you up next time it goes round 1.5 hours later - perfect. Well worth a visit.

Pros: Lovely fresh food from the farm, Beautifully cooked

Cons: A little awkward to get to, but fine on the bus, A little expensive but worth it

Wonderful setting and food

El Cuajani was one of my favourite restaurants in Cuba. It was formerly a tobacco farm and is now a popular garden-to-table restaurant 2 km west of Vinales. I'm very curious and asked my host lots of questions and he gladly showed me the garden, explaining what was growing where.
The food may be the freshest and most interesting meal you have in Cuba. Much of the menu was veg and the staff are highly aware of ingredients. There are dips which are something like hummous but different, fresh salads, pastas. The service is enthusiastic and the setting under the mogote is lovely.

Pros: Fresh, interesting, special food, great service, unique setting in the country

Cons: a little more expensive than average, but worth it
