Such a lovely place - Edit
They don't have many vegan and vegetarian options, but the ones they have. Absolutely stunning!
Read moreStaff was soooo friendly and very sensitive regarding gluten-free food and vegan stuff.
We shared a vegan paella and they even had a gluten-free beer. When I ordered the gluten-free beer the waitress offered me gluten-free bread.
The food was great, but service even better!
Pros: Lovely, Good service , Friendly
Cons: They could have more vegan options

Really good, amazing staff - Edit
They had good options for vegans. There was no vegan starter option in the menu but the waitress suggested me one starter with a small change. The vegan paella was good. I really liked the atmosphere in the restaurant and the staff was really nice. Definitly recommending this place.

Shared the vegetable paella, was really filling. There were limited vegan options but staff were very accommodating and we had a great evening there.

Fantastic vegan paella - Edit
I had a great experience here! I ordered a passion fruit daquiri which was absolutely delicious for a first drink. When I asked the waitress whether the paella was vegan (it was labelled vegetarian) she assured me it was, and was very kind!
Read moreEven when she brought out bread & olives for the table (which were delicious), she gave my family butter, and brought out a dish of olive oil especially for me. :)
The vegan paella was absolutely fantastic, and really authentic too. The rice was thick and glistening with tangy sauce, while the tomatoes were sweet, salty and perfect. I couldn’t fault it, the whole experience was just excellent. The bread, olives, paella, I could’ve eaten it all every day for years.
The staff were very knowledgeable on veganism (just ask sin huevo, sin leche, etc.) which was a refreshing change to some other places nearby.
I will say that the restaurant is rammed virtually every day of the week. We booked on Friday, and couldn’t get a seat for 5 until the following Tuesday, so be aware of that! Total props to El Cortijillo, I thoroughly enjoyed eating there and hope I’ll get to again. ☺️
