Great raw food! - Edit
Just beside the Ciutadella park. My girlfriend and I were the only customers and the staff were very friendly to explain the dishes to us. I had the raw sandwich that seems to be the main dish. The "bread" was awesome. My girlfriend had a different one with cheese and she said it was really good too.

wonderful! - Edit
Sadly I got here too late so the kitchen was closed, but I still had a raspberry croissant and a chocolate pastry thing we're delicious! Also a orange iced tea but didn't taste of much but was still refreshing. Such a cool quirky place and the girl serving was super lovely! I'm going to try to go again to get some of the cooked food :)

Delightful find - Edit
As I got off the subway, a guy handed me a flyer for this place. Seeing it was vegan, I asked for directions. It’s small but lovely. The food is great and the staff even better. Less than a block from El Arcó del Triomfo.

Juice ok, good smoothie - Edit
I ordered a green juice, which came very "pulpy" for a juice (was more like a thin smoothie). Smoothie was ok. Waitress was not in her best mood, I expected at least a smile but did not get it. Pitty.

Awesome menu - Edit
Great place with a daily rotating menu. I had the kale chips, salad, and pizza. They also have great chocolate chip cookies. Kitchen opens at noon but I stopped in a second time for a cup of coffee and a cookie!

Nice spot for a coffee - Edit
Went there for a coffee and a cookie the other day. I've spent alot of time in the area and I've really wanted to try it out. It did not dissapoint! Really enjoyed the café in general and the cookie was the best vegan cookie I've had in a long time! The coffee was also really nice. Looking forward to returning and maybe trying out their lunch/brunch menu.

Very friendly and cozy place. The food was excellent and very tasty. Had a soup and hummus(best I've tasted) for starters and padthai as main dish and delicious chocolate cake for dessert. Everything was super tasty and well prepared. Freely staff. Highly recommended! 🙂

Cosy cafe in Born - Edit
I had a wonderful lunch menu which was really good value for money and the food was brimming with flavours. The setting is laid back, and a really nice place to while away time. It´s really close to where I live, but have not yet been back, but keep recommending it to anyone looking for a lunchtime spot in this part of the city!

Quin menjar tant bó! - Edit

Proyecto Azul is Born - Edit
My alternative title for this review was 'The Born Identity' just because I love the films. Then I realised they have nothing to do with Barcelona. Anyway, I need to focus. El Cafe Blue Project is a sensational place in the beautiful Born area of Barca. It drips quality and class, but definitely not pretentiousness. The menu is practically vegan. We had the cashew nut cheese pizza and a tofu and avocado sandwich. Both were excellent, but the pizza was simply magical. That cashew nut cheese is something else. Two glasses of white wine and a sparkling water brought the bill to a fair €21.50. The seating is informal with good space between tables. An open kitchen at the rear looks absolutely immaculate. The whole place is immaculate. We will be back.

Interesting ideas... - Edit
The restaurant had quite a few options, many of which seemed quite interesting. I had three dishes, three very expensive dishes, of which none were even close to living up to the names, to expectations or to the price. I will say that the dishes were unusual and innovative, but to sell something that seemed like a nut paste with super salty veggie paste on a couple of baked digestives and call it minipizzas for around 14€ is not only insulting but comical.

Enjoyed it! - Edit
El Café Blue project was a great place for our late breakfast. There were many vegan options in the menu, the interior design was at the same time cosy and interesting, and the service was friendly. The menu included many raw food options, but not all of options were raw (nor vegan). I had the grilled tofu sandwich, fresh orange juice and a coffee with soy milk (there were also other plant-based milk options). This was my favorite cafe/restaurant experience in Barcelona and the next door art exhibition was worth it as well.

A sacred place in Barca - Edit
This cafe is an offshoot of the Blueproject foundation, and their sustainability efforts shine brightly in everything they do in this cafe! Lots of green plants, sustainable furniture, dinnerware, paper products, everything! Not to mention their raw vegan organic food which is absolutely delicious. I had the hummus starter, raw cosmic pizza main, and carrot cake dessert. Their green tea and green juice (spirulina added) was also scrumptious. I wish this place much success in the future.

No longer exclusively vegan and raw - Edit
We went to this place thinking that we'd get a nice meal. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. We tried the vegan burger (husband) and a sandwich (me). Everything was bone dry, including my husband's roasted potatoes that were obviously reheated, very possibly from the day before. The burger bun was as dry as the Sahara. My sandwich was tiny and dry. The juices were super chunky and fibrous. Overall very disappointing.

ok but not great - Edit
The raw wrap tasted very bland and bitter. Guacamole was ok. The desert tasted like avocado. Seems like the people working here are not professional chefs, or don't taste their own food.

Not my style - Edit
I went to El Cafe Blueproject last Sunday and although I stand by everything it stands for (art and veganism!), I must admit that it's not my stile.
Read moreFood is good but they are more concerned with the presentation than with the taste or the portion size. Prices are average for Barcelona, but probably high with respect to what you can actually eat...
However, if you like "classy" places, do go there, it's just that I prefer "rougher" places (for example, the Cat bar!).
So my final judgment is... fair!
Pros: Lots of raw options
Cons: Small portions, Probably a bit pricey

bad service - Edit
I was very disappointed with the less than polite service.
Read moreI asked for the menu, in fluent Spanish, and was given an English menu after the servers exchanged disapproving looks. I then ordered my meal and asked questions once again in fluent Spanish. The server only replied to me in English. The whole experience felt very disrespectful.
I would not recommend this place.
