Great Mexican vegan food - Edit
Good quick place to grab a bite to eat while touring pike place market. With kids you must eat in the back dinning room. During COVID many places have added order at the table menus which takes a bit of the interaction away from a place. But the food is great.

Good but not great plant-based Mexican food - Edit
I was really hoping to like this place more. Their nachos were pretty underwhelming, but I liked the burrito okay. Overall, pretty good but not great. Prices were fair for downtown. Might have to come back and try the tacos next time.

Bomb a$$ burritos - Edit
My boyfriend and I came here our first night in Seattle and it was close to time for the kitchen to close so we made our order to go so we weren’t *those* people sitting when they try to close and we were so glad we got to eat here because it was BOMB. He got a shortie burrito and I was so hungry so I got a regular one and holy moly it was so good!!!

Food is good, cocktails aren’t the best - Edit
We shared nachos which were enjoyable, and the tacos were good too. The margaritas are crazy expensive and not very good!

Yummy Nachos - Edit
How refreshing to find a vegan Mexican place right in Pike Place Market! The nachos were quite good-the nacho cheeze sauce is one of the better ones I’ve tasted. My husband got a burrito with Impossible “meat” and he really enjoyed it a lot. All and all a good experience and we’ll definitely be back.

So happy to discover this all plant based food at the market! - Edit
I went for lunch today after the SAM. I ordered a shorty burrito with potato and “beef” and an order of chips with queso. Next time I will try a taco, I think.

The vegan queso is the best I’ve had—I had it on the nachos and they definitely didn’t disappoint! The tacos are also fantastic. Love the tamarind agua fresca too.

Tasty Tacos - Edit
Fairly pricey, but it is right in Pike Place Market so I kind of expect that. However, everything on the menu is very tasty. I like all of the self-serve salsa options too. And they have very friendly service.

10/10 for the server’s friendliness and attitude, plus excellent food. We stopped by several times during our trip because it’s reliably vegan and delicious. Recommended for any trip to Pike Place market.

Not Bad! - Edit
We grabbed El Borracho after a day at Pike Place Market. I got the shrymp tajín taco, barbacoa, and chipotle potato taco along with their chips and queso/salsa. The queso is a hit! The tacos were good, but not the best I've had personally.

Best. Nachos. I’ve. Ever. Had. - Edit
I’ve been looking to top my previous favorite vegan nachos for 2 years. This place succeeded. Don’t skip the nachos. 🤤 ALL of the salsas were to die for. Make sure you stop by. Wish we had more time in Seattle to eat here like 15 more times.

Good - Edit
It was okay, the breakfast taco was really good but the jackfruit one was a little too sweet and kinda bland. The rice was good but also a little bland. The tortillas seemed very authentic. Fast service and friendly employees.

used to be good - Edit
We had many great meals at their former locations in Ballard and Tacoma, and even a few years ago at this spot.
Read moreUnfortunately, after our last visit, we won't be back. There wasn't anyone readily available to take our order - A sign on the table instructed us to place an order on our phone. And then we were brought mediocre versions of meals we used to like here (nachos, burritos) in takeout containers. Not a welcoming or pleasant experience for going out to eat. Maybe it's okay if you just want takeout and are in a hurry.
Just an odd experience, especially considering we used to love this place. It's sad to see it decline like this.

Vegan gem at pike place market - Edit
This place is right by pike place market so if you’re looking for good vegan food it’s definitely work checking it out. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We opted to sit out on the patio since it was a nice day. The bartender gave us the rundown when we arrived. You place your order at the table using a QR code and they bring the food out to you. If you want any drinks at the bar you just order them at the bar and they will bring them out to you. There is also self serve water if you just want water to drink. My BF and I ordered the nachos to share and a taco each(seitan barbacoa and chipotle potato) and it was the perfect amount of food for us. We also tried two of their margaritas(Hibiscus one and the pineapple habanero one). Both margaritas were so tasty and if you are worried about the pineapple habanero ones being too spicy, it had the perfect amount of heat to it. They have a mini fridge inside that has self serve salsas. We tried 3 of the salsas(red, green, and chipotle) all were very flavorful. We were checked on a bunch throughout our visit and the service was fantastic. I would definitely return again.

Mexican Vegan Food in Pike's Place Market - Edit
My husband and I went to check out El Borracho in Pike's Place. I was grateful for a vegan place in Pike's Place, as there were not many. My husband had the burrito, and I had the jackfruit taco. They make their own salsa and store it in a fridge for customers to access. My husband's burrito was big and pretty good. My taco was okay but not over the top. I did like that the food wasn't super greasy, and there were some gluten-free options. I also thought that it was nice they had a sit-down area as many places in Pike's Place do not have much of a sit-down area.

Nice spot for a light lunch - Edit
We shared the Cajun shrimp burrito, and the house made chips with salsa for a light lunch. I thoroughly enjoyed both. The shrimp pieces were well seasoned. We both left full and satisfied. Unfortunately, there were no bathrooms in the restaurant, so I had to use the public pike place restroom, which took around 15 min due to a lineup for the women's washroom.

Disappointing!! - Edit
I am so disappointed I really wanted to love the food here but it was all just so… bland! Everything kind of tasted the same and like it needed way more spices and salt! Even my bf thought it was mediocre and he loves Mexican food! Also they are still using the process of going online to look at the menu and also pay for the food, and water is self serve. Not that it’s necessarily a bad thing just not my favorite. The one thing I will give this place is that they have self serve salsa/sauce that is really good!! Honestly that saved my meal from having no flavor.
