Lovely - Edit
We went for dinner at Arbol and were really happy we did!
Firstly there is a little shop front on the first floor where you can buy all kinds of vegan goodies, from desserts to vegan cheese and sausages. Get the vegan alfajor- it's a delicious little treat.
The restaurant is on the second floor and is a very cosy place. They have loads of vegan food on the menu and even alcoholic cocktails. The food was very delicious and not too expensive.
Pros: Cheap, Delicious, Good service

Fresh, filling food - Edit
I was going to get the soup of the day and a main dish, since veg*n restaurants often tend to serve portions on the smaller side of filling, but they had no soup (or empanadas) yesterday when I went.
Instead I had a tofu salad (with extra goat cheese), which turned out to be big enough to be a full meal in itself! Deliciously fresh salad with scrumptious, marinated tofu. Was really good. The cheese (and the tofu) could have come in smaller cubes, but it's not like I don't know how to use a knife…
They didn't charge for the water (regular tap water, as opposed to bottled, which they do charge for).
About 5,500 CHP (around 8 USD) isn't cheap for a salad in Chile, but it isn't bad for a whole meal, which this salad was.
Pros: Fresh food, great tofu and goat cheese
Cons: Not cheap, some items unavailable

they also have beer! :) - Edit
Good atmosphere and good quality food, friendly staff, and yummy juices! Try the melon with mint:)
I was told they even do the pizzas as a vegan option now with VioLife, but I haven't tried (yet).
And did I mention they have beer as well?
Pros: nice sandwiches, beer, location

Amazing food - Edit
The food at El Arbol is absolutely brillant (I had the tofu and chutney as a manin and the crumble as dessert) it was a very welcome surprise after travelling in South America for 4 months as a vegetarian. The only reason I didn`t award it top marks is because I requested at least three things from the menu that they didn`t have in stock. I would recommend this to anyone but have an alternative dish choice from the one you request in case they don`t have it.

muy rico - Edit
After days of wandering hungry through Santiago we finally got to "El Arbol". Thanks God. Eating vegetarian in Santiago can be quite a challenge so when we finally got to this cosy restaurant we were received very friendly and had a wonderful vegetarian lunch. Starting with a creamy vegetable soup and then a pretty big piece of quiche accompanied by fresh organic salad and avocado. We also had a "Hamburger" which was very tasty.
Very nice place to eat, not so expensive. Will definetly go there again
Pros: healthy, yummie, cosy
