Ekokauppa Ruohonjuuri

Good shop but one of the most expensive eco shops i have seen in europé.

Wide range of every day items, but it is quite expensive. I would rather go to Ekolo or Vegekauppa.

Excellent place, great selection of items. Really nice staff, too, as had to confirm whether some chocolates were 100% vegan (sadly not all!). But I was ecstatic to see Pana chocolate again after 5 months! Even if it is a tad expensive in Finland. Good range of groceries and toiletries etc.

I love this place and I visit it each time I come to Helsinki. It's quite small, but has a lot to offer, from different kinds of food to clothes and cosmetics.
4 cows only because it is not entirely vegan.

I would love to see Ruohonjuuri as a store with locally produced and environmental friendly products that cannot be found in conventional foodstores. I haven't been happy to see how alternative medicine and all kinds of crystals and magnets keep invading more and more space in Ruohonjuuri during the years.

Here you can buy anything vegan/vegetarian: shoes, food, snacks, toothpastes, detergents etc. And also hear about pro-animal and environmental work in Finland. It's a little expensive though. Easily found: it's opposite (north-side) the Kamppi shopping centre.
