Källan Ekobutik & Ekocafé

This shop is run by 'anthroposophists,' i.e. members of the Anthroposophical Society, followers of Rudolf Steiner or general sympathisers with this movement.

You might want to consider not supporting a sect. Other than that, the quality of food here is always excellent. They've been open for over 25 years.

There are other similar anthroposophical restaurants in Järna with very good food indeed.

Beware that they may try to engage you in philosophical discussions, try to recruit you to some circle or try to sell literature. Avoid those aspects, as many consider this a sect with manipulative traits.

Most, if not all, of the products are their own brands, i.e. Weleda etc. Kristofferskolan is a Waldorf School just a few 100 m up the road from Källan.

I give them 3 stars and not 2 because they have very good food, which might be genuinely useful to members who are considering a visit.

i think this place is great. very small but have a great variety of food, gifts, medicine. on the contrary, i think the service was great. they were friendly and told me lots about the products i was not familiar with. stuff is always fresh and delicious. the prices might be higher but the purchases are always worth it. family owned, very cozy with a cafe, where they will gladly make you a sandwich and a hot cup of tea!
