Finding its feet - Edit

I think Eka has taken a bit of time to get things right since it opened, but it's now finding its feet. The tempeh burger, always delicious, has now improved and become more moist and the smashed avocado is also decent. I recently tried the smoothie bowl and it was fairly average, but I'm not sure I'm a fan of these generally. The berry smoothie is also a delicious addition to their range of drinks here, and thank goodness they now make espresso. Banana bread is also pretty good with a decent hit of cinnamon. Pleased to see they've moved closer to being vegan.

Great bulk food store - Edit

This wholefoods store is great. They sell tofu from a tub that you can put in your own container as well as nuts, muesli, rice and other grains, cleaning products and many other goods that you can also put in your own container to avoid waste. They sell chocolate and other treats in packaging with a number of vegan items available. They have a machine where you can grind your own peanut butter too!
If you're keen to avoid waste or are looking for vegan foods this is a great place.
I've enjoyed coffee, lunch and sweets at the cafe attached to the store too...

Great chai and enjoyable lunch - Edit

I had a delicious soy chai as well as some vegan gyoza that were very good. The scrambled tofu was yummy but the toast it came with had a texture that wasn't quite right. The cafe has a lovely atmosphere and is very child friendly with a little library/play area. Staff were friendly. The bulk foods store is great too... They sell tofu without packaging that you can put in your own containers.

Refreshment and replenishment - Edit

Cute little cafe with good, wholesome food. Menu changes regularly. and some unusual options, such as a Japanese breakfast. Friendly service. Limited seating.

Pick up your supplies too - bulk foods are available, such as flours, lentils, nuts, and refrigerated products.
