Delicious Souvlaki - Edit
All vegan here,
Read moreThe souvlaki was delicious, well fried, crispy outside and chewy inside. (the Soup is also delicious)
The vegetables used for the salad are well chosen and tasty.
The set of Soy soft cream (great sweetness) and the chocolate cake was also delicious and pleasant dessert! :)
Pros: Probably the food here is Delicious!

Amazing little place! We have just the main meals which were enchiladas (small but filling) and the souvlaki! We had a taster place for desert and it was incredible!!! Just expensive and not many choices

Posh nosh - Edit
Though it isn't by any means cheap to eat here, my personal recommendation is to splurge on this one, it won't be something you'll regret.
Read moreThe dining room is of a quaint size and decor. The staff are friendly, informative and attentive.
The set menus are abundant with both content and flavour. As with many restaurants in Tokyo, the music is soothing and tastefully selected.
The draught beer on offer is a crisp local lager named Heartland.

Classy Vegan Restaurant - Edit
I went here for dinner with a couple of my (nonveg) friends. It is located on the second floor, but is not hard to find at all. There is a sign outside on the groundlevel and once you go up the staircase, 8ablish is right there. When you walk in, you'll see that they sell an assortment of different vegan goods (cleaning supplies, household goods, packaged baked goods, etc.). It has Western menu items, as opposed to Japanese dishes. The staff was attentive and they really care about the presentation of their food. Everything was prepared beautifully. My friend ordered the purple lemonade-- it arrived to the table as a blue drink with a separate yellow mixture, pour the yellow into the blue and right before your eyes the drink gradually transforms into a purple color- so cool!! One of my friend's dishes took extra long to make, so they gave him something free to snack on as he waited. Portion sizes were a little bit smaller than the other vegan cafes I've been to, but I think that is typical of more fancy/expensive restaurants. (Mains alone were around 1800 yen each, so not crazy. However smaller vegan cafes I've been to in Tokyo have served me dinner around 800-1000.) The taste itself was not particularly special compared to similar vegan restaurants I've been to in other cities (e.g. NYC), but within Tokyo I think 8ablish has established itself as a reputable and tasty restaurant.

First Meal in Tokyo - Edit
This place was a short walk from the hotelz Tokyu Stay Aoyama. It's in a really nice area. It's on the second floor, which seems pretty normal for businesses here, but they had good signage so you shouldn't miss it. They spoke enough English for us to communicate and we're all incredibly nice. The food was great and I'd eat here for every meal if I could.
Read morePros: A) all vegan. B) healthy food. C) they have to go
Cons: A) not exactly cheap. two of us ate lunch for $40., B) doesn't open early enough., C) set meals. D) healthy food.

Great Place to Eat with Non-Vegan Friends ヴィーガンじゃなくても友達とも良いレストラン - Edit
We ate here with three friends who were not vegan. It was nice to go out with non-vegan friends and not be limited to a couple of menu items. The souvlaki was out of this world! The other food items we sample ranged from okay to good but our non-vegan friends enjoyed everything. Good sake selection. Some pairing suggestions would have been nice.

Pros: Fancy place ファンシー, Good place to introduce non-vegans to good food , Several sakes on the menu 色々な日本酒
Cons: Lacking sake pairing suggestions 日本酒ペーリングがない

Nice - Edit
This is a fancy vegan restaurant, I go here when I'm in the mood to splurge a little and eat something on a "Nouvelle Cuisine" tip. The food is very good and presented in an imaginative way. The menu choices are creative and original. You could go there on a date or to impress someone. The decor is stylish and it's handy for Omotesando.
Read moreThe only problem is the sizes are frankly very small. I always feel that after the meal I'm paying more than I thought I was going to pay, and I'm in the mood for a burger. Also the service can be a little on-and-off. I'm still in mourning for their previous place, the excellent Pure Cafe, which was a lot more down-to-earth but at least you knew you had eaten something when it was time to leave.
Pros: Stylish, Delicious, Imaginative
Cons: Small portions

One of my favorite in Tokyo! - Edit
I love 8ablish! They started serving 2 kinds of course recently, 3,800 yen or 5,000 yen.
Read moreI tried both, but 5,000 yen course is too much for me, I prefer 3,800 yen course :)

Love 8ablish! - Edit
This place is so nice and the food is all vegan and honestly delicious. It is a little pricey, but it's a great atmosphere, great service, and the food quality is fantastic. They also have great vegan & organic wine options. A friend of mine and I come here once in a while for a "fancy" lunch or dinner out when we are in town.

Best vegan restaurant in Japan! - Edit
I can't believe this place doesn't have better reviews! I was in Tokyo for ten days on my honeymoon and my vegan husband and I both ate here 3 times! There are a lot of other nice vegan restaurants but this one was the only place we felt like we were getting a special meal, not just an ordinary bento box (which you'll find at most vegan restaurants). The flavor was amazing for every dish we had. The atmosphere is also beautiful. And the waiters speak English pretty well/they have an English menu. I'd highly recommend coming here! But, if you're used to English sized portions, just know that everything is going to be small no matter where you go. I recommend getting an appetizer, soup or salad, and a main. It's actually better this way because you get to try more food without leaving stuffed!

Amazing staff and interior design but bland food - Edit
I gotta give credit to the staff for providing a nice culinary experience, but once I got to eating the food I was flabbergasted at how small the portions and bland it tasted. I am very used to doing cooking at home so these "European" dishes were very bland. They are in serious need for improving their dishes to stand out.

not that great! - Edit
The place has a nice ambience and food comes plated with some thought. However the food comes in very small quantities and the taste is not that great. Their other cafe, Pure cafe, does much better when it comes to tasty food.
Read moretheir cheese dessert tasted of metal and when I told them after a miniscule taste, they took it away but charged me full price despite the fact that i ordered another dessert to replace this one.
Pros: ambience
Cons: food
