veganism is growing here and i love it - Edit
The vegan salad is perfect, they have vegan mayonaise at some of the fry stands, but let's keep asking so they implement them everywhere😉
Read moreThe broodje unox stands have vegan sausage if you ask for it, sauce is not vegan though,
I am also very happy they now have soymilk for the coffees. Also the apple turnovers are vegan nowadays!
Pros: soymilk for coffee
Cons: vegan mayonaise not available at all places

You won't go hungry - Edit
I loved that they have vegan options at many stalls. We had coffee with plant milk, which was just okay. The turkish pizza with vegan kebab was good, and the hot dog was also good, but the pizza was better. We did not try the restaurants.

Could be better, could be worse - Edit
Rumour had it that the Efteling was going more plant-based. Other than a few options here and there, I found it rather hard to find anything decent. I have to say, It was impossible to try all the restaurants and stalls, so I might have missed out!
Read moreThe highlight for me was a vegan appelflap. Superior quality. Patisserie quality, nothing retail-like.
Another surprise for me: a vegan springroll from a snack wall. Very very decent.
Before leaving I had a vegan 'broodje Unox' - a smoked sausage sandwich. I didn't trust it. A good sign probably that I tastes like the real thing. Not for me though.
For lunch, some vegetarian dishes that could be made vegan on request. A pretty disappointing falafel bowl ...
Coffees with plantbased milk can be found on plenty of locations throughout the park!
To sum up my experience: Next time I would bring my own lunch, but there's limited but nice plantbased snacks and coffees!

Limited but existing Vegan options across the park - Edit
It’s great that the park has clearly labelled vegan options in several restaurants, even if the selection is limited. Be sure to ask on-site, they can help you find the vegan-friendly spots more easily.

Used to be better - Edit
Efteling got rid of a lot of vegan options and the ones they still have are severely lacking in flavour. I’m pretty sure that the only vegan pastry they had yesterday was the apple turnover and most food stalls were not offering their vegan menu items.

Many choice at different outlets - Edit
Please search the website “wateetjedanwel.nl Efteling” and you’ll find an overview of vegan options. It’s quite plentiful. We mostly bring our own food but the vegan Turkish pizza was really nice! I also saw that they have milk alternatives at the coffee stands and also for pastries and snacks there are options.

A vegan option at most food outlets - Edit
The good thing is virtually all food outlets and stalls have a vegan option so you won't starve!
Read moreI had a roasted vegetable bread pizza with vegan cheese which was okay, a 'vegan special' hotdog and a Mexican loaded fries which were sweet potato fries. It's theme park food so you get it won't be fine dining (i didn't enjoy the loaded fries which didn't taste particularly spicy). Look for the 'Plant Based' signs for vegan food, some stuff looks like it may be vegan but isn’t. Also, watch the servers carefully, i got a vegan hotdog special and saw they were going to put dairy mayo on it instead of the vegan one they have.
Pros: Options in many places
Cons: Watch the server, and explain you are vegan, Not massively tasty, but it's a theme park

Enough vegan options / Genoeg vegan opties - Edit
Steeds meer vegan opties in het park beschikbaar, echt fijn. Van zoet tot hartig, je hoeft er niet perse op zoek naar te gaan, ruimer aanbod, maar kan natuurlijk beter.

More and more vegan options at the parc, really nice. From sweet to savoury. You don't need to go on a quest to find the vegan food, there's enough to find. But there's always room for improvement.
This time, springroll and vegan mayo out of the wall and cotton candy.
Pros: More vegan options during time
Cons: We need more vegan options!

Bemusement Park - Edit
There are several vegan options throughout the park. Unfortunately, there isn't a quick way to find them. The Efteling app and website have filters for vegetarian, but not for vegan. A few restaurants use the word "vegan," but most use a "V" marking or a "Plant Based" marking. It was not clear to me which was vegan, so I asked employees. I received conflicting answers, so I went to the information desk, and even that employee had to ask a co-worker.

Prima linzensoep - Edit
Gelukkig is er in de Efteling wel wat plantaardig eten te verkrijgen. Het is fijn om in een pretpark niet veroordeeld te hoeven zijn aan een te dure salade, bakje friet of ander frituur.
Read moreHet aanbod is echter vooral carnistisch ingericht.
In restaurant Kashba kon ik een prima linzensoep scoren met een broodje falafel.
Het broodje was wel koud. Die had ik liever warm gehad.
Bij de Pagode zag ik nog een plantaardige curry. Die neem ik de volgende keer.
Pros: Prima linzensoep
Cons: Koude falafel, Geen vegan cake o.i.d. gespot, Best prijzig

Many vegan options - a guide - Edit
Love it that an amusement park has so many vegan options. Unfortunately it’s not that easy to find the restaurants and their vegan options in the park app itself. After you know the name of the restaurant/kiosk/…, the Efteling app is really handy to know until what time it’s open.
Read moreSo here’s a little guide of what I found to eat as lunch/dinner when passing. (Not a guide of the whole park) photos show more.
- Restaurant Fabula: many options: curry/rice, soja burger, salad, loved the wrap with glazed tempeh!
- backerei Krümel: a few options: pizza bread with spinach, mushrooms and vegan cheese; sandwich with grilled vegetables
- in den Swarte kat: vegan sandwich
- Toko Pagode: basics are vegan and there’s a vegan topping
- Unox vegan hotdog: several stands

Not all places serve vegan/vegetarian foods. At the unox stands you can get a vegan hotdog, fabula has a great range including burger, pasta and a really good salad.

Thanks Efteling! - Edit
Happy that the Efteling has different vegan options. Could be more in the future but glad they have options for vegans, so I can enjoy a day out with my family :D
Read moreDe Vrolijke Noot is at the beginning of the Efteling.
The Unox station is near de vliegende Hollander and Joris en de draak.
Frau Boltes Küche is next to Max & Moritz.
De Vrolijke Noot has nice oat cappuccino! Really yummy
The vegan roockworst at the Unox station is super tasty and filling. They only give you sauce, but I got unions as well.
Frau Boltes Küche has vegan fries (in the whole Efteling they do, this is one without vegan sauces next to ketchup) but it was good. They also had union rings which I was super happy and suprised about. The rings were super crispy!
