I really like what the restaurant stands for and how it’s very supportive to its staff members. The restaurant trains and supports formerly incarcerated individuals by teaching them culinary and hospitality skills and giving them opportunities and a brighter future. The focaccia bread and olive oil tasting was amazing and I also enjoyed my vegan gnocchi. The menu had food for every type of eater. My family and I would have liked the bread to be salty. Nonetheless, it was an enjoyable dining experience!
This is one of the best restaurants that I’ve ever been to. They always have multiple vegan options and they’re always delicious. The ratatouille was one of the best meals of my life. They have a great wine list also, although it’s not cheap. The service is excellent and Edwins has a social impact because they hire people who were previously incarcerated and they train them to re-enter the workforce. Because they’re so highly trained, it’s excellent service. All of the people have been very nice every time I go.
Went to Edwins for our 30th anniversary. The decor is very nice---painted brick columns, mural, gas fireplace, We had the 2 vegan appetizers (called entree in French). The cauliflower grantin was awesome; the sauce was Yummy! Salad was very good. For the main course I had the tofu dish which had a wine eggplant with sauce; oh so good!!!! My husband liked the Neopolitan. Our waiter said the the lima bean dish is his favorite.
I could have made a meal of the salad and cauliflower gratin. So one can spend as little as $20 for a meal, or $50 per person including appetizer, main course, wine, and dessert.
The service was great as one would expect from a fine dining experience.
