Awesome vegan food - Edit
My partner and I were passing through for a music festival and I was happily surprised to find a vegan restaurant. I got one of the best Reuben’s I’ve ever had, and he got the chicken bacon ranch wrap. We also took home a slice of cheesecake and some cannolis that were tasty. Coming from CT we have pretty good vegan restaurants, but nothing quite like this. I hope we’ll be back in the future to try more of their food!

Good vegan food; large menu - Edit
We stopped for lunch and got a sandwich and a wrap with a cup of soup, coleslaw, a smoothie, and a key lime tart. They have a very large menu consisting mainly of burgers, sandwiches, wraps, and pizza. Their menu is very heavy on fake meat, so if you’re not a fan of fake meats you may not have as many options. We enjoyed all of our food; the portion sizes were on the large side.

Vegan Wings - Edit
I thought the prices were a little high. My girlfriend and I decided on the wings, being that they are a very difficult vegan feat to achieve. The skin was eerily similar to wings with a nice pull-apart texture inside.

Flavourful and well-presented - Edit
We have been through Scranton twenty-or-so times over the years, but because we usually drive on a Sunday or Monday, Eden Vegan was always closed. We were finally able to experience this lovely little vegan restaurant today. My spouse had a cheeseburger and really enjoyed it. I had the ABC panini, which was as good as previous reviewers claimed. The presentation of the food, meaning the garnishes and sauces, is what sets this restaurant apart. The food is relatively low in salt and satisfying without being greasy. I want to try the teriyaki rice next time.
Read moreI appreciated that reusable metal utensils were provided. I also really liked the vegan stickers decorating the bathroom.

I wish I lived close enough to have this everyday. I had the ABC panini and it was incredible. It tasted like real chicken, but it was vegan!!!! I’ve never had vegan food this delicious.

Flavorful meal! - Edit
We stopped by on a road trip and wow did Eden fuel us for hours. I got the teriyaki rice bowl with chicken strips which was super flavorful. True meal size portions, filling, and delicious. The staff are wonderful too. Will be back to try more of their multitude of options.

Solid comfort food - Edit
On a long road trip, was a welcome food oasis! My Reuben was seasoned well, but the “meat” felt like stock vegan cold cuts. Very much enjoyed my coleslaw side.

Good enough - Edit
Good for a quick meal but most of the food seems like it was frozen or minimum prep effort. That’s fine for this kind of place but don’t expect to be wowed by the food quality.

Good vegan options for the area - Edit
As a Brooklyn girl I am used to the world being at my finger tips. This is no Food Swings (RIP) but it’s tasty. The burgers are good, the rosy Perez sandwich was tasty, and I always love wings on weird little wooden sticks.
Read moreI do wish they had French fries but alas. The potato salad you can get instead of fries was just okay. It’s sort of a weird selection of healthy and junk food. Like looking at the menu I really want a burger and a shake, but they only have smoothies. The wings are textured in such a way that I think they are probably steamed, which means no crunch and sauce slides right off. One of the sides is steamed veg which leave something to be desired.
All in all, I have enjoyed all of my meals here, will continue to patronize, but I would love to see a little more excitement in the menu!

Amazing gf sandwich - Edit
I love how much gf free items they have! Like a chicken steak sandwich. It was delicious! The smashed potatoes other than being a bit too salty were amazing and epic. I had a chocolate fudge brownie and it was to die for! Highly recommend this place!

Solid But Not Amazing - Edit
Second time there and enjoyed my lunch, but not blown away. The sandwich was pretty good, but the bread was a bit overdone. I think the smashed potatoes were too buttery, but I think most would disagree.

The hightlight of the meal was a gluten-free double fudge brownie I brought home for my wife. They also have a great gluten-free menu which is a bonus when you buy for someone who is GF

Rude staff, bland food - Edit
Not impressed with service, on Yelp reviews the restaurant just fires back with insults instead of accepting criticism, half of the order was cold, not flavorful or satisfying. Usually I inflate vegan restaurants reviews based solely on the fact their vegan but wouldn’t return even though it’s the only all vegan option in Scranton. If I weren’t already vegan I wouldn’t be interested in learning more about plant based living if this were my first experience. Was really looking forward to something hot and flavorful, I embrace meat substitutes, but this fell flat.

Great value and MANY options - Edit
Great location not far from highway traveling back to Chicago area from Connecticut. Huge quantity of options to choose from…it was hard to pick, which is a good problem to have. We ordered 4 entrees and desserts for our family (I am the only vegan) and tried a little of everything. Staff was very friendly and prices are quite reasonable. Similar menu items at the last vegan restaurant we were at in Hartford ranged 20-40% higher in price. I thought the Dill Chicken Salad sandwich, side of smashed potatoes and chocolate encased cannoli were really good and would order them again. The grilled cheese, meatball sub and cheeseburger were just okay and my non-vegan husband and teenagers didn’t like how the cheese wasn’t really melted enough on those 3 items, especially the grilled cheese. Still, I think this is a great restaurant overall and some items will be better than others. Try the specials.

Lots of options! - Edit
Tons of options. Wraps, burgers, hoagies, starters and daily specials. They do have a veggie and rice plate option for those looking for a more whole-food plant-based option. Very casual atmosphere and smells amazing when you walk in. Staff are friendly. On street parking was easy to find. The smashed potatoes have rosemary in them and are very good. The fun and green burger was stacked with veggies and avocado spread. You can upgrade to a beyond burger. Add in one of the deserts from vegan treats and the meal just hits the spot! The key lime cheesecake was a perfect sweet treat on a summer evening.

It's just ok - Edit
I wish I could give it rave reviews because it's the only vegan place in the city, but I just can't because it's pretty expensive, overly processed, bland, unhealthy vegan food full of fake meats. One time I had the rice and veggies and I could tell it was just frozen veggies heated up, it was really bland and I ended up throwing it away. The food is overall hit or miss.

We love Eden Vegan! - Edit
Eden is an all vegan joint in downtown Scranton. There is a location in Wilkes-Barre too. The staff is super nice and helpful and the food is delicious.
Read moreA few of our favorites are the buffalo drumsticks, spicy peanut rice and veggies dish with added steak, the ABC panini, the wild wild west burger, the Margie pizza, the salmon wrap, and the best of both worlds hoagie, which is a chicken and steak cheese steak!

Pros: ALL vegan, Large menu, Delicious food
Cons: Can take a while , Small interior - lots of people inside (pre-covid)

When in Scranton... - Edit
...you absolutely must eat here! The food was amazing. My daughter and I were in town for the day and ate lunch and dinner here. Even though we had to take the food to go, due to covid rules, it tasted great at the park and in our hotel room. If I’m in Scranton again, I will definitely be back.
