Lovely birthday dinner

I made reservations here for my birthday and specified that we would be dining vegan, and they accommodated us happily. We got the 5 course tasting menu and I asked for no dessert since I don’t like sweets. They offered me fresh fruit instead and I was very happy they offered. They even put a little candle in my strawberries. It was very cute. All the courses were good, very fresh and very summer-y. Our favorite dishes were the summer succotash with sweet corn, grilled veggies, and their house crudite (it reminded me of a summer bbq in a bowl), and the main course, cabbage in a vegan honey and fermented brine glaze with morels and shaved black truffles. There was so much complexity in every bite. It was a very unique dish.

Pro tip: if you come in summer, they don’t have AC and it can get quite warm inside. You might want to book a table outside.

Pros: Vegan tasting menu available

Cons: Not much protein, no legumes or whole grain
