Vegan oasis in a non-vegan region - Edit
I had been traveling for close to 2 weeks in this region before I came to Ecoland. Finding vegan food was tough. I ate lots of nuts and dried fruit. Ecoland had a ton of vegan options and several English speaking staff members who helped find all the vegan items (not everything is vegan). They even have a small hot food bar where I got a falafel with tomato sauce (it was actually good!). I stocked up on vegan goodies for the entire time I was in Kyrgyzstan. Go and support this place!!

Nice selection, including vegan treats - Edit
Ecoland is a cheerful, two-room store offering a boutique selection of organic food items and other health-oriented products, ranging from dry goods to more specialty items. They have a small but good selection of vegan staples, snacks, and treats, including locally made chocolates.
Read moreOn my visit, the friendly and hospitable shopkeeper spoke good English and kindly showed me the various vegan items in the shop, and translated ingredients labels for me. (which was especially helpful since many of the items I was looking at turned out to have honey in them).
