Nice vegan galette - Edit
Ecocafeet is a restaurant downtown with a nice atmosphere and a generally healthy menu. I went for a vegan galette and they were flexible to alter it to my taste. It could have been a bit more flavourful with some more hummus on it, though.

Contrary to the description on here, there’s quite a few non-vegan dishes on the menu. They have both plant based cheese and cow-cheese, so be sure to check the menu or ask the staff to be certain you don’t get the wrong one :)

Amazing fika for vegans! - Edit
This is my favourite place to go for a fika as vegan! Everything is delicious and well made! They make basic fika (like semlor or cinnamon buns) and make it vegan! Lovely! Lovely food as well!

One of the best vegan meals I have ever eaten!! We had the BBQ Burger which was totaly amazing and the summer salad with amazing tofu! Best burger and tofu I’ve ever had. If you are going to Östersund You must go here😍 a really nice place with groendet staff and the whole enviroment is very cosy.

Great place for eating lunch. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. It was clearly marked what was vegan and not, and when we almost bought a non-vegan cake the staff informed us. We had the "hippie salad" and some cakes, and it was awesome! I'll be going back the next time I visit Østersund.
