My greengrocer from now on - Edit
Compared to other organic shops Ecobotiga offers a lot of choice in vegetables and fruit, some mushrooms and so on. They have lovely red wine, organic and from Catalunya, for 3.95 euro and organic eggs for 2 euro. Organic food is usually more expensive but I find the prices better than in other eco-supermarkets. And there is a lot more variety. The owner is happy for you to bring your own paper or plastic bags, no problem. She is very friendly and helpful. I think that after six weeks living in Poblenou I have found my greengrocer ....

Some prices are good, some are high, depends on the source. Fruit is fresh, vibrant, and organic. Great quality. They do have a few other odd items besides fruit and veg, like lots of vegan milks, but it is mostly produce.

I was expecting it to be more like a health food store but it is only an organic grocery shop and doesn't sell much else, so if you're looking for specialised ingredients this isn't the place to go.
