Lovely breakfast - relaxed place - Edit
I came by the farmers market at 9am. Just off the beach - near the school and museum. There were about a dozen stalls serving food coffee and crafts. All really pleasant. I had coffee with coconut milk. A KILLER chocolate brownie. Light and tasty spinach empanada. And a beautiful fresh breakfast bowl with chia yogurt and fruits. Everything I had was vegan although there may be a few vegetarian things for sale too. Great way to start Saturday.

We Have a Winner! A Must Visit for Vegans When in Zihuatanejo - Edit
On Saturday mornings, there is a small eco-themed market in Zihuatanejo. The restaurant, Casita Eco-Vegana de Zihuatanejo, brings their fares to this market. The menu is a subset of what you can find at the restaurant. However, everything they bring to the market is excellent. I highly recommend the pizza. Of course, the tacos are awesome, too. In the photo, you can see the six options of this day. They were rajas con crema (peppers in a cream sauce), nopales al ajillos (cactus in a mild creamy garlic sauce - I think), carnitas (jack fruit / dorian?), fajitas de tofu, berenjena con tofu (eggplant with tofu), and colifor capeadas (cauliflower tempera). I wish I had room to try them all. None were spicy hot. But do you see that row of condiments? There were a couple of them that almost set my head on fire. Proceed gingerly, nevertheless, proceed. This is a must visit for vegans when in Zihuatanejo.

Awesome raw and vegan delights!!! So fun, too! - Edit
Every Saturday this market is set up on a shady little niche near the main beach in Zihuatanejo. One of the food vendors is Patti Lilly, with her raw food specials..always super creative and yummy! Last time I had a great raw pad thai and wonderful tropical kombucha and a banana crepe filled with raw chocolate like filling. The other vendor is the Cooperativa Eco-Vegana. They have wonderful vegan offerings..ie, zuchinni flower or raja chile tamales, coconut crepes filled with vegies or a vegan burger. Each week is different. And the sell dried coconut, sundried tomatos, granola, soy cheeses and yogurts. They almost always have delicious little sweets..ie, raw gluten free truffles (made with nuts, coconut, dates or figs and cacoa. The market also has eco friendly vendors and lovely organic produce. Usually theres some live music happening to. A great place to connect with healthy locals and tourists!!
