CLOSED: Eco Bella Bakery

I have went to Eco Bella quite a few times and have been pretty happy that I went. The best thing that I had (ironically, the first thing) is the peanut butter brownie. Heaven! Their brownies are pretty good, but when it comes to their cupcakes or moon pies... well, I've had a few and have always enjoyed the frosting. Still, the cake part always tastes a little stale to me. I prefer to stick to the brownies, but, to each his own. Still, don't hesitate-- it's a vegan bakery!

My mom has struggled with my decision to be vegan, so she was quite happy when Eco Bella opened because it made finding a vegan birthday cake a snap. Their vegan birthday cakes are GORGEOUS, I didn't want to ruin mine by eating it! But I'm glad I did, because it was also DELICIOUS! The cake was moist, flavorful, and the frosting was excellent. Vegans rejoice, you can have your cake and eat it too!

What a joy that this vegan/gluten free bakery has opened in the Rochester area. I have been there several times (it's addicting) and often crave it on days it isn't open! Located conveniently in the South Wedge and the prices are definitely fair! Faves: moon pies and brownies!

Eco Bella Bakery is a miracle. Not just because everything is vegan and half of the goods are gluten free, but because everything is delicious, and you would never know that they are missing traditional ingredients. My mother and I are both vegan, and the first time we went here we practically bought one of everything, drove to a park, and tried all of it. Favorites include: fruit sweetbreads, moon pies, chocolate bundt cake, frosting in general, and all of the cookies. The cupcakes are marvelous as well, and we are anxiously awaiting the fresh pies that Jeannine, the owner, said she would be baking this summer.
