We'll see

I've only visited this place once, a few weeks ago. I don't exactly have good memories of its parent restaurant, Rå och så, but now that they're no longer I thought I'd give this spin off business a shot. Perhaps because of the financial hardships that covid has left in its wake, they did accept my (exact) cash without the slightest frown. That was a good start.

I ordered summer rolls. Since the weather was beautiful, I chose to sit outside. To my surprise, I was still given the food in a cardboard box, as if it was to go (or I was in my twenties). Be it as it may, you could tell that effort had been put into these two rolls, and could clearly see the mint leaves, symmetrically placed, the sesame seeds (both black and white) and, ahem, a whole bunch of carrots. Not sure what they contained in the way of protein, but I do believe there was some kind of paste that contributed both flavour and juiciness. They tasted rather nice and fresh, but I can't say I was full afterwards. It felt as if the focus should also be put on the amount of food, rather than on how pretty (instagram-friendly?) it was. Once I left my table, I headed for a Vietnamese sure bet, Bun Bo Hue, where I got a full meal on a proper porcelain plate, with reusable chopsticks, access to a toilet, etc. for maybe 5-10 sek more. So yeah, it was all good and well at Eat Your Garden.. but my meal needed a supplement. All things considered, I would be willing to visit this place again.. at least if they're willing to welcome a cash paying customer.
