Unrivalled! - Edit
Everything about this place is perfection, from the tables with different scenes of Belfast to the irresistible 'duck' pancakes.
Read moreThe special when I was there was a seitan burger - In...cred...ible! And so large as well!
The food is expensive, but the flavour and portion sizes are more than worth this. A must if you're ever in Belfast.
Oh, and the owner is just amazing too!
Pros: Flavour, options, service, portion sizes, decor,, 'Duck' pancakes at dinner are everything :o
Cons: Expense but so worth it

Sooooo good - Edit
Came here one evening in April. We shared seitan ‘duck’ pancakes, then he had the burger and I had the tofish. I raided the bakery afterwards to take home for puddin/breakfast the next day. It was sooooo good, even the omni other half was happy. Highly recommend!

Really good diner style food - Edit
Great selection of classic comfort food. We had the NYC burger and Moroccan chickpea salad - both were fresh and tasty. Service was quick and friendly. I also had the pbj cookie - yum. I'd definitely go back.

This is vegan heaven. Butterscotch Milkshake, mac and Cheese, Garlic mayo fries. With the absence of puppy cuddles this meal was the best remedy for manic depression. Thanks

Tofu bites, Jack fruit burger were delicious and satisfying. The portions are good and tasty. The menu is a bit weird because it gives meat names to the dishes, however, once you clarify what everything is it's grand.

Tasty food and chill atmosphere - Edit
I was in Belfast in May and went to Eat Street twice. I tried the macaroni and it was absolutely delicious! The best mac n cheese I've ever had and I've tried a lot of different ones in Edinburgh and Glasgow vegan places! The presentation of the food is also really nice and the brownie was tasty. Wish I could have tried more of their menu

Saved by Eat Street - Edit
Recently I was obliged, for family support reasons, to spend a period in Northern Ireland. Eat Street was a Godsend.
Read moreI became vegan some two years ago and in all my travels since - London, Paris, Prague, Venice, Eat Street has surpassed all my vegan dining experiences. The code words have been originality, taste and presentation. To that add a delightful staff experience and a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
My favourites were: "Duck Pancakes", "Chicken Caesar Salad", Goats Cheese Crostini" and "Colcannon Potato Cake", "Tea Smoked Temph steak", "Cassoulet of Beans"
Pros: Inspired and dedicated Chef, Vegan, Opening Hours
Cons: Decor could better represent the restaurant.

Great for tea (dinner) - Edit
I changed reservations so many times due to tours ending at different times and the staff were very patient and accommodating. We were given a free appetiser which was lovely, and also shared at the ‘bacon and cheese’ burger as well as the nacho burger. I also took away the cheesecake of the day which was peanut butter. All the food was delicious! I would recommend it and would eat here again.

Absolutely delicious! My boyfriend (omnivore) and I (vegan) both enjoyed every last bite. The deserts were grand as well. We will definitely come back here if we are in the area again. Don’t judge this place on its interior. The food is absolutely grand and the staff is really friendly!

Don't judge a book by it's cover - Edit
Brilliant food, good prices, friendly staff. Had a lovely breakfast, really enjoyed the caramel popcorn smoothie (though forgot to ask for no plastic straw) and we took away some sausage rolls and cupcakes that we loved and it all went down well with the veggies and carnists we shared them with! The décor could be a little more inviting to draw in curious carnists but otherwise a great new eatery much needed in Belfast 👍🏼

Everything delicious! - Edit
Me and my family ate brunch here yesterday and all had the cooked vegan breakfast. It was great and we particularly enjoyed the home made vegan sausage and the beans. I also tried a dirty latte which was like a sweetened chai latte with espresso and loved it! My partner had a popcorn caramel smoothie and it was delicious!!! We all took sausage rolls home for the next day and have just heated them up and they have to be the best vegan sausage rolls I’ve ever had! They are ginormous and very filling! Can’t recommend enough, will be back again. 5 stars

Definitely worth a visit - Edit
Eat Street looks very unpromising from the outside, and the decor doesn't do it any favours either. But the food is delicious! We had the cheese and bacon burger, and the sausages and mash. Both dishes were excellent. The staff are lovely too. The only disappointment was the coffee.

Robust Vegan Bistro - Edit
Had you told the 19/20 year old Vegan me (over a decade ago) as I consumed a packet of salt and vinegar KP peanuts for lunch because nobody did vegan anything in Belfast, that one day not only would there be a Vegan restaurant, but that there would be two on the same street, I would have never believed you.
Read moreThis place offers an impressive diversity of hearty vegan meals. All are solid, involve several kinds of vegan proteins - not just soya based. It seems to focus on proper men's food, catering perfectly to a local audience. Chilli dogs and bacon cheeseburgers rub shoulders with fish n chips as well as penne pasta and soup.
Perhaps more dinner-y than lunch-y, with a slightly higher cost - but happy to incur for reasons of quality.
Can remember being in this shop decades ago when it was a sandwich shop called Dantes. Its now done up with printed tables showing Belfast attractions as well as wooden wall art.
Service was fast and ate around 20 mins after ordering.
A highly recommended, down to earth vegan joint serving bistro style classics in an indie, but slick, environment. The vegan Springsteen's really!
Will be back to try the rest of the menu. Not salad centric nor falafel obsessed, there are plenty of other places for that if you want it though.
UPDATE: tried chili dog (sanic) and bacon burger, as well as brownie. Delicious almost beyond description. Go to toilet as well, you get to see the kitchen and enjoy the decor! I'm crowning this best vegan place in Belfast. Cost reasonable, taste excellent.

Beautiful vegan food - Edit
While on a short trip to Belfast, went for dinner to Eat Street with my friends and we came back for dinner the second night. Not that Belfast lacks in restaurants (although you won't be spoilt for choice when it comes to exclusively vegan places), it's just that the food was simply gorgeous, creative and served by the friendliest of people. The fact that they are open until later is a bonus as a well. Plus, you get to bring your own bottle of whatever.
Read moreAll the food that we tried was just so good.... As we found out, their sweet potato chowder is creamy and satisfying and a great starter on a cold day. The tofish with grilled lemon was delish, as were the the jackfruit burger, the tempeh skewers and the special Christmas dinner. The portions are of good size too, so if you're hungry, you'll be well catered for.
Desserts deserve a mention as well and there was something for everybody: chocolate cake, lemon drop merengues, spicy and creamy rice brulee. Didn't get to try the banoffee dessert, but I will be back for that and more.
Got some sausage rolls and raspberry and coconut chocolate covered bars to take away and they were great brekkie items the second day.
Btw, not everyone in my gang is vegan and they loved the food.
Thanking all of the staff at Eat Street for the nourishing food and the warm welcome.
Pros: Great food, Friendly and attentive staff, Opening hours
