Happy to see vegan options on the menu - Edit
So nice to see them doing scrambled tofu for breakfast! Also the fajitas are good (without cheese). Staff have a good understanding of what vegan is and the menu is clearly labelled veg / vegan.

OK - Edit
The food we had was good. We took the veggie burger and fajitas which are not labelled as vegan in the menue but can be made vegan (without the cheese and mayo). The service was a bit funny, not really talking to us directly and always giggling and coming to the table with 2 waiters at a time. Wasn't sure if it was rude or not to be honest. The menue is well made with lots of choices and labelling for vegetarian and vegan dishes.

Vegan options!!! - Edit
So happy we went to this restaurant, I was expecting to only be eating bread or chips while my friends dined, but I was in for a lovely shock!
Read moreThe roasted pumpkin in rye bread is a must have! I've been craving it ever since! My friend had the vegan pizza and said it was worth every penny! Also theres good drink options! I recommend visiting, especially if your with a group of mixed dietary requirements.
Only cons are that the food gets served at different times, which makes sense and is understandable, but just highlighting this fact! The seating indoors is very cosy, but outdoors is a little less cosy, and it's hard to tell which seats belong to the cafe and which belong elsewhere.
It made my day visiting this place! Thanks to the lovely staff!

Basic food - Edit
Basic food at a standard price for Phong Nha. Wasn’t blown away by the lemongrass tofu I had. I had a friend who also tried the vegan pizza and said it wasn’t that great.

Food was Okay - Edit
**The veggie burger has eggs inside the patty so it can't be made vegan by taking out the cheese (even though it says so in the description above)**
Read moreWe ordered the fresh salad that was fine (but had green peppers even though it wasn't written on the menu).
Potato wedges were nice as well.
The pita pockets were terrible! Wouldn't recommend.

Good options - Edit
Good vegan options , prices are okay! It’s in a super busy hostel which I stayed at so it was very convenient! The tofu scramble was lovely . One of the things I realised was how big the servings were ! For the price it was great value

Overrated place. - Edit
I ordered the tofu fajita. The portion was very big and taste was ok. The wraps were a bit dissapointing. They were very thin and fell apart when I filled them with tofu. The guacamole is the worst one ive tasted in my life. I dont think it was made out of an avocado. The salsa was just some pieces of tomato. Also did not have much taste. We came 1 minute aftee the happy hour and the staff reacted really rude when we asked if we could still get a beer. The staff was just really rude in general. Had to repeat my order a few times even though I clearly pointed at it at the menu and still got the wrong dish.

Beers good, food overrated - Edit
We went here for breakfast expecting a good feed before a big trek. Ordered the tofu scramble which is clearly marked vegan. Plates arrived with a large lump of butter on the side.... bread rolls seemed to have been baked with butter on the tray too... The tofu was fine but there wasn’t much of it. Weren’t too impressed so we didn’t return. Felt like they have an unfair monopoly in a small town, lots of smaller spots trying to make a buck too. While the atmosphere isn’t quite as big, there’s a vegan spot down the road where we had a great meal... and no butter!

Torn review... - Edit
We and ate here everyday for lunch and dinner for about 4 days.. and sadly we fell sick (our first time ever from food and we've travelled in Asia over 4 years!). This is a difficult review as the food is actually really good but we also found out another girl had also fallen sick from the food here the same time as us so there must have been a contamination in the kitchen. It is our first time eaten in a meat prepared restaurant and we have truly learnt our lesson. However, there are also loads of great reviews for east tiger and I'm sure this is an anomaly... if you go, the food is really nice and the portions are huge and there is loads of options for vegans. Fajitas are awesome.
Read moreI hope you make your own decisions but if you're vegan in the area there is an amazing vegan restaurant we luckily discovered down the road.

A number of good vegan options - Edit
I ate here twice and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The first time I had the Vegan Pita was great, thevsecond time I had the Dahl which was a little bland.

Good clearly labed vegan choices - Edit
The most popular hostel in Phong Nha, and usually fully booked with party loving backpackers, however anyone can come for a meal. Not cheap for Vietnam but there are quite a few clearly marked vegan options available.
Read moreI had the dal one day which was a good size and only 50k. Then they let me have a sandwich and swap mozzarella for mushrooms with veggies, which came with fries. They told me it wouldn’t taste nice but it was great haha.

Cons: A bit pricey

Good food and great vibes! - Edit
Menu has multiple vegan and vegetarian options that are really good. A tofu scramble at breakfast and Dahl for dinner - were both delicious and decent portions. The staff also allow you to change your meal, they had a roast pumpkin ‘hash’ with friend eggs on top and they allowed me to swap the eggs for scrambled tofu! Staff are friendly and the live music is good, great place to enjoy a meal where you can trust the menu and know what you’re getting. Downside is there is more western food than Vietnamese food

really great healthy vegan options, specified on menu - Edit
I stayed in phong nha for 3 nights and spent a lot of time eating through the menu at easy tiger as the area is otherwise not super vegan friendly. I had the pita pockets which were SO good and came with a little mango papaya salad, the mung bean dahl which was undersalted (a blessing, I think), the guacamole which seemed to have some lentils in it and was flavored with curry spices, also so yummy and the green curry with tofu which was also quite swell. Their food is also not super expensive. The Dahl was a larger portion but about 40k less than it cost at an Indian restaurant down the road. The atmosphere here is very social and there is a pool. I'm almost positive this was some of the least oily, salted, msg-ed food I've had in Vietnam. Woo!
