Serves meat, vegan options available. Although there is no separate vegetarian menu, one can ask for vegetarian and vegan upon request. Try the veggie fried spring rolls, veggie fresh rolls, Viet Curry, pad see eew, Malaysian noodles, chap che, and lemonade. Also another location in the Proctor neighborhood. Closed.

great remodeling - Edit
i happen to work at the east and west cafe and periodically check to see how our customers are fairing. i would like to tell you that the original owner Vien has regained ownership back from her son and we are on the rise again.
We were closed during the summer for remodeling and the place looks great. Re-opened Sept 5th. So we have had a nice face lift on the restaurant and ALOT of restaffing in the kitchen as well as waitstaff.
I am currently one of the bartenders/server and I would greatly apprieciate it if you would give us another opportunity to amaze you as I have no doubt we will!!!

All Meat Menu : ( - Edit
If you are like me and are not one of those vegans who is comfortable going into a restaurant that has all meat items on its menu, you will want to avoid this place. I know they say they have vegan options, it even mentions it in the menu, but when a place doesn't have any vegetarian/vegan options on their menu, it makes me wonder how vegan it really is. I read the menu but didn't trust it enough so I left. If you are comfortable with the menu being all meat and ordering a vegan item, then the food sounded good, although I did not see the vegan spring rolls on the menu.
Pros: Beautiful Garden, Yummy Sounding Menu
Cons: Unsure if vegan "kosher"
