A great organic vegetarian and vegan restaurant and shop - Edit
A wonderful vegetarian restaurant in the heart of Berea with lots of vegan options. I had a simple vegan sandwich and it was delicious and very filling.
Extremely nice staff and a lovely atmosphere with funky music.
Well isolated from the city streets in funky beautiful artsy garden! Great place to grab a bite or a smoothie (delish!). Staff was more than friendly. After eating, it's nice to visit the store attachment, lots of cool things!! :)
We ate at Earthmother Cafe on a weekday early in January. We arrived just before noon, and the cafe seats filled up promptly thereafter. The seating in the garden area was quaint, and accommodated for the light rainstorm that passed through.
There were so many vegan choices that made the selection of lunch fun, and we settled on two different salad bowls- one raw, and one with marinated tofu. Both were pleasantly presented, and deliciously seasoned. The dressings were so tasty. We also ordered vegan shakes or smoothies, which were wonderful and filling.
Because the desserts were so attractive, we also forced down a couple of pieces of the raw pie and raw cheesecake of the day, and were so glad that we did! (especially when we had a little left over for a snack later).
The food and atmosphere were well worth the value. I would definitely return to the cafe if I were in Durban.
