The best - Edit
Holy moly! The food is amazing. After agonizing over the menu (so hard to choose), I went with the arepas, and wow. So good. My mom had the chickpea salad and loved it. New favorite restaurant in my hometown.

Perfect food and service! - Edit
Everything was truly perfect! We had Hempe Empanadas, a Yellow Bowl, Cauliflower Wings, and the BBQ sandwich with a side of Mac n cheese. The bang bang sauce on the “wings” was sooo good! I can’t wait to go back! #Veganuary

Food and service was great. - Edit
Food and service was great. We had the Plato principal, Buffalo cauliflower, veggie empanadas, nachos, yucca fries and beyond burgers. Our favorite dishes were the tostones and the Buffalo cauliflower. Definitely check it out if you’re in the area.

Best vegan restaurant in Durham! - Edit
When I need delicious, comfort food, Earth to Us is my go to. Everything on their menu is yummy. The only downside is I can't order and eat it all in one go. I highly recommend the mac n cheese, yellow bowl, nachos, and cauliflower wings. Also don't skimp on the bang bang sauce!

Best nachos and nicest people - Edit
I’m not of those people crazy about nachos, but their nachos make me come back every time. Try them with impossible meat, it’s absolutely delicious! You also can’t go wrong with the arepas.

First Visit - Edit
This was my first visit. The atmosphere was pleasant and what I ordered was really good. I had the mac & cheese plate and I substituted the BBQ chicken for the cauliflower wings with bang bang sauce.

Go-to Durham vegan restaurant - Edit
Been there twice, will be there more. Not too expensive, and super delicious. I love the patacon burger, although I wish the burger itself was house-made.

We ordered a lot of food. It was bland / poorly seasoned, soggy, and just not a great experience. Their lemon cake was amazing though.

I love arepas and empanadas and these did not disappoint. Plenty of gluten free options. We ordered way too much food and every thing we got was great…even as cold leftovers the next day.

Excellent food with an excellent attitude - Edit
The owner is a consumate professional and talented chef. She always has the right attitude with those that behave rationally. Regarding the previous "boycott" review, I cannot believe it was due to anything but bad behavior by the customer. My wife is a woman of color, and has never been treated with anything other than the utmost courtesy. Besides this, we've always been fed scrumptiously be Jenny. Your patronage here will never go in vain.

This place is fantastic. My fiance and I got food from here twice so far and it does not disappoint. I also think the portions are very good for the price. My favorites so far are the loaded nachos, bbq sandwich, sweet potato fries, and carrot cake. I definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area.

Tasty, but a little hit or miss - Edit
So let's be clear, this is not healthy, but almost everything I've tried here has been tasty. My partner is not vegan and even begrudgingly admits that their mac and cheese is pretty good.
Read moreHighly Recommend:
- Mac and cheese
- Nachos (bang bang/ranch whatever on the side, they're not melty and cheesy but if you think of it like chips with the dip on top, they really hit the spot)
- Impossible burger on pretzel bun (if you like the impossible burger/processed mockmeat)
- Maduros (I have never placed an order without them)
- Tostones (oh my god they are oily and garlicky and delicious)
(and by default Patacon burger)
Skip:
- Cauliflower wings - they're not the restaurant's best, the sauce has a lot of vinegar
- Mac and cheese plate -- the BBQ chicken is okay, but not worth the upcharge for the platter, just get a side of Mac with whatever you order
- Dessert (the Maduros can be your dessert!)
Overall, they are a little bit on the expensive side for the food (the entry point for anything that isn't a side is about $10), but they have a decent reputation for treating their people well, they use planet conscious packaging, the quality is always good, and I am always happy to support a locally owned and run business.
ROAD TRIPPERS, this is literally 1 mile off I-85, has easy parking and is pretty close to a city park, so you can easily stop here for a meal!
Pros: Tasty vegan food with latin-influence, Convenient location (easy parking)
Cons: Prices a little high
