Plenty of vegan options - Edit
Pretty large independent grocery shop with tons of vegan items.
Read moreSeveral specialty vegan and VGF items as well. We found a VGF sausage we have never seen elsewhere.
Found VGF mushroom meat we haven't found anywhere else too.
Definitely worth a stop for a snack or to stop or groceries.

Best Health Food Store in Roanoke - Edit
This is a health food / grocery store that caters to plant based nutrition as well as people who comsume meat and dairy. Has a decent selection of fresh produce and does not sell products with high fructose corn syrup. There are numerous vegan options, including processed foods and baked goods for those interested. The selection is not as robust as other comparable health food stores throughout the country.
Read morePros: No artificial sweeteners , No high fructose corn syrup
Cons: Produce selection could be larger

More expensive for what it is - Edit
They have great options, don’t get me wrong. But I think it’s pretty expensive for what you’re getting. I guess you’re paying for the experience or “aesthetic”
Read moreI would rather shop at the COOP and support local farmers and eat local produce personally
Pros: Lots of healthy options
Cons: Pricey

Solid smoothies - Edit
The smoothie bar is decent. They have several plant based milks and protein powders and plenty of other healthy add ons. The grocery store has tons of vegan options though and probably the most robust selection in the area.

Decent bulk section and sales - Edit
I go here mainly for bulk grains and the occasional sale on produce. I also like that they have vegan premade desserts, for those rare occasions when I want one.

Our go to vegan junk food destination - Edit
They sell, vegan cake, cookies, cheese cake, prepared foods like mock chicken salad and veggies. Their tofu needs a little help. They make it into chunks that are too large and dont cook it all the way through in most dishes I've had. Other than that very nice options. A little pricey but its expected for things that are out of the norm. Looking forward to when they are the norm.

Cons: A little pricey, The tofu is not cooked properly

In love!! - Edit
Earth Fare is super close to my house, has reasonably priced food, tons of vegan options. The juice bar and hot bar are excellent. Love everything about Earth Fare. Hope that it always stays open.
