A safe bet thanks to plant based menu

Easy to identify plant based items thanks to their own dedicated section on the menu.

I had the sushi tacos, and street gauc with corn, and both were excellent.

I am thankful that Earls has taken the steps to offer these plant based options, as they have been a long time resturant staple, with consistently good quality and service.

I can’t believe I love it.

Okay, the 3 stars is a personal rule: one star knocked of for serving dairy, one knocked off for serving meat. That being said - why do I love this place?! I’ve been Ⓥ 30 years and am a self-identified foodie. Nightshade is next door. MeeT is less than a block away. Buddha Chay is a block in the other direction. But is Earls worth going to? YES, damn it! I wish I didn’t love the Ⓥ food so much here! It’s a chain. Boo. It has 8 plant-based items in the menu total. Boo. But the labeling is great. The salads are fantastic. Everything is damn delicious, huge portions and affordable. They had me at toasted quinoa on the salad and watermelon radishes on the tofu dish. C’mon, a few smart choices like that and my interpretation of everything is elevated!

Plant based menu section

Earls has a plant based section on their menu, which is wonderful to see! My friend and I had the Buffalo Cauliflower to start, I will say it was mighty tasty - really flavourful saucy cauliflower pieces with a delicious vegan ranch dipping sauce, and celery stalks. For the main I had the Crispy Tofu Zen Bowl - and substituted quinoa instead of the rice - and it was very good. It's not the most inventive plant based menu, but it's great to see they have quite a few options for plant based diet eaters!

Pros: About 8 plant based menu items, Pretty tasty dishes

Cons: Expensive, Not overly creative

Streamlining veganism

I’m really glad that such a mainstream restaurant now has vegan options but they really aren’t that inventive or interesting. This is definitely a place to go if you have carnies with you but not a place to come just for the vegan food

Yay Earls!

So Earls on Robson now has a variety of vegan items they are testing out. They’ve got a bowl, avocado rolls, and a few more things. Unfortunately these items aren’t included on their happy hour menu, however it’s nice that they’ve separated it off and made a vegan section at all on their menu.

This definitely makes it a somewhat easy place to accommodate everyone for a large group of people.

Pros: Lots of seating, Vegan section on the menu, Decent pricing

Cons: A little pricy, No vegan option on the happy hour menu

Standard but a little pricey

I have joined a couple work meal here before (choosing a veggy burger with no cheese/mayo and replaced the bun for ciabatta).

And noticed the menu update, adding a Plant Based section. Food is OK while the price is a little pushy.

Pros: A few Vegan options getting added, Friendly work/friend environment , Patio

Cons: Price, Got asked if I wanted added chicken in my (V) dish
