Mediocre

I was excited to try E-Yuan because of their extensive vegetarian menu, which staff says is vegan. The dishes we got were ok. I had the chicken lo-mein which was good enough. My husband had the orange chicken. That was not very good. It had a mushy breading making the texture of the “chicken” not so nice. The portions though were huge for the price. Overall it was not a bad experience. Would try again but next time something that is not breaded.

Broccoli in Garlic Sauce tastes like gasoline

I’m not kidding. We threw our whole meal away.

Great value

Huge portions for very low prices. I recommend the vegetarian dinner specials which come with fried rice and a spring roll. They have a very large vegetarian menu (dozens of items) which the person on the phone told me is entirely vegan.

They also had very safe covid precautions with a big protective barrier between the customer and the cashier.

Pros: Lots of options, Inexpensive, Tasty

The best and only Chinese restaurant near e-town

I’ve been here over 10 times and I’m a vegetarian so it’s really hard sometimes to find my desired food choice but also so that choice has vegetarian options. All I can is WOW! This place has always had the best Chinese food and the best imitation meat I’ve ever had! Thx!

Pros: Delicious food, Awesome prices, Huge portions

Cons: Not the brightest environment , Mostly take out, Dining area isn’t the most welcoming

The worst Chinese food I’ve ever tried.

We tried broccoli in garlic sauce, bean curd and broccoli in garlic sauce, veggie lo mein, veggie dumplings, and spring rolls. Everything was bland and had a funny taste. A whole lot of food will be going in the trash. No one in my family of 5 like any of it. If I could give it a zero I would.

Yeah, I did not like the dumplings and the spring rolls were "eh" as I described 8 months ago below. Lo Mein is not my thing anyway. Have stayed away from Chinese food for many years.
Since I am visiting the area again tomorrow though, I am going to do this place again. Ham Fried Rice & Wonton Soup was good to me last time as I'm cool with the mock meat stuff. They had a variety of it on the veg menu.

Mixed Review

Sesame Chicken was great. Seaweed & Bean Curd soup also great. Steamed Vegetarian Dumplings wasn't up to par for me.

I would classify this place as take-out only. There were three tables in an unheated "restaurant". My dine-in food was served in to-go containers with plastic-ware. Drinks are 20 oz. bottles of soda and water. Every other customer I encountered in a half-hour visit was for take-out.

Food was served very fast for a Friday @ 6pm. and priced cheap for what amounts to be double-portion sizes.
Variety of mock meats is impressive for such a small place in a small town. Over thirty menu items to choose in Chinese and Thai styles.

I will definitely go back there when visiting this town again.

Pros: Menu variety, Cost/Portion size ratio, Good food

Cons: Atmosphere for dine-in

Visited again tonight. When you see the regular menu on 8½ x 14", flip it over for a complete vegetarian menu.

I had a spring roll - eh, it was okay and cheap.
I had the Wonton soup - really good and a good value.
I had the Ham Fried Rice - nice mock. Different. If you do not like mock imitation, don't get this. Good portion for the cost.

Not a great selection of drinks here. Again, served in-house in take-out containers and plasticware. Interior atmosphere has improved in decor but the temperature was cold. They were working in the kitchen and at the grill in coats and sweaters.

Good, cheap food.

I've had a number of meals here. I've gotten the sesame "chicken" and the bean curd and vegetables. Both were tasty and cheap. The lack of air conditioning is a small downside in the summer.

Pros: Cheap, Fast
