Mediocre - and not a vegetarian restaurant - Edit
I don’t know if I’ve ever given a restaurant one star before - I tried to for this review but it has to be minimum two stars for veg establishments 🥲
Read moreFor starters - it’s not a vegetarian restaurant anymore, it appears to be an omni restaurant with a very limited vego section on the menu. Very confusing and mixed messages - the menu literally says “E Polack El Vegetariano” at the top, but almost the whole thing is meat dishes.
I explained to the waitress my partner and I were vegan and what we didn’t eat, she pointed out one main dish we could have. The starter was basic mixed salad, and the main dish turned out to be literally a mound of plain steamed veg and white rice 😂 I asked for some soy sauce and the waitress responded as though she’d never heard of it in her life, then after a confusing interaction she eventually came back saying they didn’t have any?
Just a very strange and disappointing dinner.
Pros: I mean, it was cheap?
Cons: not a vego restaurant, minimal to no vegan options, the blandest meal I’ve had in a long time

They offer a menú del día for 10 soles. You pick your starter and main. A drink is also included. There aren’t many vegan/vegetarian options in the area but this place was really delicious. We had the veggie salad to start and the lomo saltado and aeropuerto from their veggie choices. We enjoyed both plates a lot and the portions were big.

Restaurante El vegetariano (Barranca) - Edit
Es el único restaurante vegetariano en Barranca; como soy vegana me dijeron que podía, sin problemas, combinar una cosa de un platillo con otro sin coste adicional. El menú consta de postre, entrada, segundo y bebida. Pude repetir bebida, también, sin costo adicional. Todo estuvo rico, exceptuando el segundo que estuvo regular. Repetiré. :-)
