Cosy!

We popped in on our way around the city walls to escape the rain. We had a couple of hot chocolates which were the perfect antidote to the cold wet December weather.

They had a dark chocolate option for the hot chocolates - I'm a bit fan of dark, so this was great!

Also, they are dog friendly, so lots of cute doggos padding around!

Great, creative vegan food

A lovely little cafe located on the bridge, with vegan lunch options and a selection of vegan cakes. The ciabatta sandwich was really nice, with vegan cheese and kimchi, and a large portion too! A little pricey but worth it for great food and a view of the river.

Pros: Vegan options including cakes

Cons: Pricey

Delicious dark, rich hot chocolate

I popped in for a drink and was pleased to see that they had Belgian dark hot chocolate which was vegan. I asked if they had vegan marshmallows (sadly, no) and was told they could do vegan cream (hurray!) The resulting drink was delicious, just the right size for something so dark and rich and a real pick-me-up. It was a shame I didn't have time to have any food, as the ambience was lovely in the outdoor seating area by the river. I didn't book, but you might be wise to in the evening, especially at the moment (June 2021).

I came in another time with friends and was able to try the carrot cake, which was very good (although not the brownie I had hoped did, as they were out of them). Decaf latte with oat milk was also delicious. We sat in the room at the level of the bridge which was beautifully decorated, although the music was a bit loud (Nov 2021).
