"Bravo!" Good breakfast in a well cared for cafe - Edit
Having read so many glowing reviews of Dulcamara Bio Vegan Bistrot, I'd saved the place and hoped to have our first breakfast in Verona here. Unfortunately they were closed due to it being Easter Monday (which was clearly posted in their window), so my boyfriend and I ate elsewhere. I'd planned a surprise trip to Venice and this place was in the perfect location to reveal my surprise, so we headed here in the late morning before our train.
Read moreWe were warmly welcomed with a smile as we entered and were given the English menu. They only had one to share between the two of us which they were extremely apologetic about, but that didn't matter at all. It was nice to have been told.
The atmosphere, although we were the only two people there when we arrived was warm and homely, and you could clearly see that they take a lot of pride in the place. It's bright, airy, and very clean. The bathrooms were immaculate, something too often missed by cafes and restaurants.
We ordered the pistachio topped cheesecake, the chocolate cream filled croissant, a cappuccino and a soy hot chocolate to eat in. Everything was delicious, the base of the cheesecake was perfect and my croissant was just as flaky as you'd expect.
The croissants were so good that we ordered two more to go (and got the jam filled ones that were just as tasty). We ordered a chickpea breakfast burger in a sesame bun filled with vegan mayo, red onions and an abundance of green leaves. We ate this on the train with a glass of wine each, and wished we'd ordered two to go it was so good. The burger came with a side order of diced roasted potatoes and red onions which left us both satisfied.
Although our bill came to €25 we feel like it was well spent (1 x wedge of cheesecake, 3 x croissants, 2 x hot drinks, a vegan breakfast burger with a huge side dish). We both felt like it was well worth the wait and will certainly go there again when we return to Verona.

Cons: Not so easy to find so save the address, Not the cheapest but quality always costs

Tasty food, nice atmosphere and staff. I had the vegan burger with fries and mint-lime kombucha. I haven't tried the cupcakes and cheesecake, but they looked tasty as well. I would go back, maybe for breakfast next time.

A beautiful hidden gem 💕 - Edit
This place is located a bit out of the center, but highly recommend checking it out and fall in love with their food and beautiful and serene location lovely staff! It’s a great place to sit and relax while enjoying very tasty food - breakfast with croissants and a smoothie. They’re open 7 days a week from 9:30-14:30h so a great way to start your day😄

We stopped here for a little snack after our drive to Verona and had a great time. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I had a fresh pressed juice which was awesome and a cupcake which was also good. Fair prices.

Got there around 11am and there wasn’t a lot of breakfast left but there were 3 cakes to choose from and got the last crossaints. Staff friendly and nice vibe. Plenty of parking nearby also. HappyCow hours are not correct - open Sundays

Wenn ich neben diesem Laden wohnen würde, würde ich dort jeden Tag, morgens, mittags und abends essen. Wir haben die Nudeln und den Burger bestellt und waren absolut begeistert. Die Bedienung war ebenso super freundlich! Ein tolles Bistro und sofort zu empfehlen bei einem Trip nach Verona!

In einer lauten Seitenstraße in Verona - Edit
Voller Vorfreude ging ich zum Restaurant in Verona. Doch schnell erfolgte die Ernüchterung: In einer lauten Seitenstraße konnte man dann zwar Vegan essen, aber es gab nur ein glutenfreies Gericht: Eine Minischüssel mit sehr wenig Inhalt. Beim Bezahlen dann die nächste Verwunderung: Die Bedienung hat sich 3 Euro Trinkgeld selbst gegeben. Auf Nachfrage hieß es: So ist das hier. Das Ambiente an der Straße veranlasste mich dann schnell diese Einrichtung zu verlassen.

Bitte hören Sie auf, meine Rezession von diesem Laden ständig zu kommentieren, da ich sonst annehmen muss, sie sind mit dem Laden befreundet und müssen sich für ihn einsetzen....;-) Dieser Laden liegt in einer Seitenstraße wo sehr viele Autos parken und viel Lärm ist. Dazu war meine bestellte Nahrung eine sehr kleine Miniportion für viel Geld. Preis Leistung stimmt hier auch nicht. Viele Grüße

We never said to you that is the tips. Because it isn't.
The street where we are located is small and not very busy compared to others! But hey, we cannot control traffic unfortunatly 🌱

Stop by if you are in Verona! The only vegan bakery in town. Every time I get the chance, I go there to eat cupcakes! The owner is super kind and friendly and she makes everything fresh and homemade!
