Asked waiter for vegan pad Thai and vegan green curry. I confirmed again with the waiter that the dishes were vegan. And he said “yes, vegan”. The meal came out and I started eating it and realised there was egg all through the pad Thai and then that there was a fishy after taste in the green curry. I spoke to the manager and she explained that the waiters don’t know what vegan means. She didn’t charge me for the meal. But also didn’t seem very sympathetic when I explained that egg makes me sick. This place does amazing Thai food. But you really need to ask for no egg, no fish sauce, etc etc. as vegan means nothing here.
I saw the vegetarian menu and asked for sweet and sour tofu with rice (take away). It was good, not amazing. It was nice to find some tofu and veggies!
