Stunning countryside pub with outstanding food. - Edit
What an absolutely beautiful and unique place. There is so much effort put in to this food with homemade breads, rolls, flatbreads! Loads of great vegan options in a really beautiful welcoming space. Pride flags up, a chicken hanging out at the bar and a beautiful dog also there when we visited. If happy cow allowed it, I would give it 5/5, the effort is outstanding, the chef so clearly loves to make amazing food.

Thoroughly delightful - Edit
Highly recommend this pub. The food was delicious, generous portions, enough vegan/can be made vegan options and the staff are extraordinarily friendly and accommodating. But the cherry on top is definitely the pub chickens!
Read moreWith a very welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, we will definitely go back whenever in the area.
Now back to the food I had potato dumplings to start (have to specify these to be vegan) and a towering spicy bean burger. Can't fault it, it was all tasty pub grub.

Excellent find for vegans - Edit
This pub was a gem of a find and the owners couldn't have been more helpful! We were talked through every item on the menu that could be made vegan for us and it's clear that accommodating for veggies and vegans is deliberate, not just an afterthought. We ordered two of the hot dogs, triple cooked chips, and banana blossom pakora, all of which was superb! We returned the next day for lunch too and had vegan Cumberland sausage, mash and onion gravy - divine! Managed to find room to try the vegan chocolate and caramel cake served with cream and ice cream. So indulgent and delicious.

Excellent food and friendly staff - Edit
We loved this pub - the staff were so friendly, the vegan options all sounded tasty and the portions were huge! I had the tomato and mushroom tart followed by chocolate fudge cake with ice cream. Both were very tasty. They had oat cream and almond milk for drinks. Think there were about 4 vegan mains and 3 puddings on the main and special menus.
