Great vegan pizza - Edit
The pizza was spectacular. They choose not to use vegan cheese and instead have a kind of tahini sauce that is delicious and just the right amount. With a vegan tahini cookie for dessert, it was an outstanding meal!

The sourdough crust is unbelievable, and it’s so nice to just be able to say “gimme a slice of vegan pizza” without having to make any mods.

Ate here every night! - Edit
We spent several days in Pittsburgh, and my husband insisted we eat here every night. That's saying something, because we ate at many other excellent restaurants during the day. We were delighted that Driftwood sells vegan pizza by the slice, so you can stop in for a lighter bite. The sourdough crust is excellent, and the salad (without cheese) is huge and delightfully fresh. I ate all of the beets on the salad, and I don't even like beets!
Read moreAs another reviewer mentioned, it's wonderful that they have vegan cookies, and it would be even more wonderful if they expanded their vegan dessert offerings. I'm partial to chocolate cake with buttercream frosting, hee hee.
The guy working the register was awesome, as were the other staff.

Vegan Pizza, Salad and Chocolate Chip Cookie! - Edit
The sourdough crust on the pizza is awesome. The kitchen staff really knows what they are doing - and the happy attitude of the hostess/cashier really makes the vibe. Our "chef's choice" vegan pie today had broccoli rabe, kale, tomato sauce, onions, mushrooms and a delicious ranch-style drizzle. The salad with beets (ask for no cheese) was fresh and delicious and the tahini chocolate chip cookie was also great. Highly recommend.
