Great coffee & welcoming

Dreambakes staff are very welcoming and was nice to see a that most menu options had a vegan alternative. I had a oat milk flat white, was great to see they use local speciality coffee such as Darkwoods from Huddersfield and they showed knowledge in making the coffee. Lovely latte art to.

For my meal I had a spicy cheese toastie on sourdough. The alternative to make this vegan was to swap out the usual cheese they use to a smokey one. Arrived very well present with extras such as salad leaf, slaw and crisps. I did feel they cheese in the toastie was a little on the spare side and it didn't really melt, could definitely taste the smoke through the cheese which I loved. I don't know why but unless the venue is full vegan I don't always trust items such as pasta as it came on my children's plates to who had ham sandwiches.

Overall I was pleased. I also say they did a few vegan cakes such as a banoffee shortcake and choco concrete.

Also nice to see they sell the coffee beans to and have guest coffees.

It's great to see more vegan friendly places in Doncaster 😋

Pros: Alot on the menu have vegan options, Amazing coffee, Vegan cakes

So welcome

We came here as a family of 7 in late Aug 2020 as a family meet up after lockdown eased. We were made so welcome. We sat outside under the cover and that worked well. We had 1 dog too. Really tasty food and lovely staff. Something for everyone on the menu. I had a Tyne Chease toastie but the soup looked great too. We were told that local vegans love their concrete cake (local specialty) with custard but I was too full to try it. Recommend this place to anybody.

Update Sept 2021: post lockdown arrangements clearly stress the owner a bit, frazzled, table wasn’t cleared because that would mean resanitising and coffees to make…

A good independent cafe

We were passing through Doncaster and needed breakfast. We had a lovely breakfast hash with vegan cheese and oat milk coffees. We took some cakes away with us (they had 3 vegan varieties-all delicious) and they sold the incredible Tyne Cheese!

Pros: Friendly service , Good vegan breakfast options , Amazing vegan cake

Cons: Not fully vegan

A Fine Gourmet Inclusive Dinning Experience – breakfast, brunch & afternoon delights

A wonderful find, hidden away in Priory Walk Doncaster, on the former site of Doncaster Priory. An unassuming modern contemporary eatery. It’s only when you are seated and browse the menu and see the food being served, you realise the quality of this new establishment.

Refreshingly, they offer an inclusive menu, catering for carnivores, vegetarian, vegan and gluten free – because all the meals are prepared fresh, they can be tailored to your taste, if they have the ingredients in.

For example, what appears to be egg on toast, from the menu, transpires to be an extraordinary culinary piece of visual and gastronomical art. And that’s just the start. . . The cakes and speciality hot and cold beverages, are predominantly homemade or locally sourced where feasible. Overall, a lovely find and we sincerely wish Dreambakes success. We will definitely be visiting again.

This would be a 5 Star rating, but HappyCow only allow 5 Star rating for pure vegan and vegetarian restaurants.

Pros: Inclusive vegan, vegetarian and carnivore dining, Homemade, Locally sourced

Cons: Would be lovely if they offered lunch sized meals

Baked treats

Just popped in to have a look as I read that they had vegan options. Spotted a few vegan baked goods which looked delicious! I tried the peanut butter cookie and it was amazing! Staff were friendly and helpful too and items clearly labelled as vegan. Definitely going to stop in and try their food menu soon.
