the go to for sushi

I usually come here when my daughter visits because she loves sushi and they have a nice variety. The miso soup isn't the usual...it comes with a side of crunchy wonton strips & cilantro and the soup base has coconut milk. I ordered my usual avo sushi roll and the server suggested the coco caliente roll. Great flavor. I like that they provide parking in the alley way.

Lots of options

Lots of vegan options, head to the bottom of the menu for the vegan sushi! Majority of vegetarian sushi rolls come vegan already. Creative sushi rolls vs the sometimes just simple cucumber roll or avocado roll that some places offer. Cute spot in trendy area, has extra parking on the side of the place too!

Pros: Lots of options, Vegan Sushi, Creative menu, not just a salad or one option, Extra parking on side for busy street

Chill vibe with a lot of veg options

If I could give this place a 5, I would. I am normally not a sushi fan, but my wife is, so we decided to try this place out. Super busy and there was quite a wait, but we were able to go to the bar and find seating and have dinner at the bar. The veg rolls we got were delicious ESPECIALLY the Coco Caliente…which I had never had a sushi roll with that flavor explosion in your mouth. Drinks were good and the vibe was super chill. We can’t wait to go back!

Pros: Delicious sushi, Dark/chill Asian fusion vibe

Veg friendly

Lunch at DKD was great! My kimchi app was spicy enough but not too spicy. The lunch bento box is perfect because you get a little bit of several items like seaweed salad, sushi, and a noodle side. Tortilla chips being included was a little weird but maybe just for me. Our server was attentive even with being pretty busy. They also easily accommodated my request not to fry my avocado. I'll be back for sure. #Veganuary

Sushi had a few good options!

I love that the vegetarian options were clearly labeled. Had to look at the ingredients to see what was vegan, but there were plenty of options available. The veggie gyoza and edamame with ginger sauce were surprisingly good as well!

Stop the 18% takeout gratuity -.-

So I love this place’s vegan sushi rolls, but the 18% gratuity on to go orders needs to stop. I want to support local businesses, but forcing the consumer to pay your workers wages so you can pocket more profits, is wrong. Pay your servers and workers a living wage. It adds up when you order 4 sushi rolls for a family. I happily tip $3 at pick up, but asking for a $8-$15 tip on takeout orders is ridiculous

Pros: Good food

Cons: 18% gratuity on all orders

👍👍👍

Excellent vegetarian options. My favorite menu item is the veggie fried rice with tofu. The citrus mayo on it is life changing.

The toilets are life-changing

Ok but hear me out ik the food is great but they've got the bidet things and you HAVE to go there even if it's just for that. I also really liked the tea and the look of the place.

Pros: TOILETS

Cons: A little on the expensive side

Very helpful!

I went there for lunch with my wife, and we loved it. The food was good and my wife has a lot of good allergies, and the waiter helped her navigate the menu really well! When the food came it tasted fresh and lovely. Would definitely recommend!

Not up to the hype

I came here based on Yelp reviews and was a little disappointed. I started with the Lobo peludo sushi which immediately fell apart when I picked it up and ended up having to eat it with a fork rather than chopsticks. There was too much spring mix in it and I felt like I was eating a salad vs sushi. I followed it up with the grilled tofu tacos which were very bland and dry, I couldn't even finish them. In all, not terrible but there are better options for vegan food.

Pros: sushi and taco vegan options, fairly cheap

interesting but satisfying

I wish this restaurant offered more vegan options, but what they do have is good. Service received was friendly, but rushed.

Eat Here!

I crave this place! They have a refreshing diverse menu. My go-to is the Seaweed Salad, all seaweed no silly lettuce filler thrown in; and a couple of rolls of sushi. Great vegetarian options for sushi. Not authentic by any means but soo good. When it's the weekend or dinner time it can get quite noisy, I think it's the structure of the building-it amplifies. Nonetheless I definitely reccommend. Oh, and good beer/wine/sake!

Pros: unique and diverse menu, great location, excellent quality food

Cons: noisy, can get pricey

Interesting fusion ideas

Cool little place that replaced "Karma Cafe." Karma had more of a hippie vibe and was open quite late whereas DKD is more a mix between fine-dining and a Chinese restaurant.

I really like that they give you a nice big pitcher of water per table. Everything is clean, service is good, and all the logistics of the restaurant are solid.

The food is good, but I don't often go here as the portions are fairly small and the vegan options are fun, but nothing amazing. Tofu is available and the have various pizza and taco options with vegetables and sauces. It's good, but for some reason the two times I went, I never thought "this is amazing! I must go back."

Still, if someone recommends it, or you need a veggie/omnivore place, know that vegans won't go hungry here.

Pros: great location, clean, vegan-friendly
