Misleading menu

I went to DP tonight and was really looking forward to getting a vegan calzone. I went in and ordered and then was told that they were out of all the vegan ingredients. I left empty handed and hungry

This Place Rocks

4 vegan options, easily customisable and reasonably priced. This place an insane choice if you’re looking for takeout

I guess I'm not a fan of calzones...

Stopped in while we were visiting Minneapolis. We got the two vegan calzones on the menu because it was a lot more expensive to do the create your own. We did not get to stop by Herbivorous Butcher so this was a great opportunity to try some of their mock meats (chicken, sausage and pepperoni). We both liked the Drop Zone best (HB chicken and pepperoni). I hadn't really had a calzone before, even before I was vegan, I guess I just prefer pizza. Don't hold my tastes against them.

Pros: Very nice staff

Cons: Expensive to build your own vegan 'zone

So good!

I wish they delivered to my new place after I moved!

This was our go to for quick comfort food for movie nights and hangouts.

Many vegan fixins and super good!

Pros: Vegan Appetizers!, Lots of food for the cost

Cons: Unhealthy, Staff isn't the brightest, order online

Finally vegan calzones are here!

All my old roommates were obsessed with dp dough, and I couldn't help but feel jealous... until they made my dreams come true and added vegan calzones options!
And cheesey bread! Definitely worth getting that, too.
I get the 'construction zone' where you make your own recipe, with vegan cheese, vegan sausage, onions, and broccoli, and tater tots.
Yes, you can get tater tots in your calzone. Go big or go home.

Pros: Delicious alternative to pizza, More than one option to choose from, CHEESEY BREAD

Cons: Don't recommend the vegan chicken (sorry HB!)

Herbivorous Butcher coming time the rescue

I knew there was hype around D. P. Dough, I went to MN to visit a college friend. We were drinking & suddenly starving. I saw that DP Dough had vegan options by using “meat” from HB. I haven’t had a calzone in probably 3 years, and the garlic bread had me damn near in tears.

Pros: Great vegan options , Accessible

Cons: Expensive

Delicious

This location is in a college area, so I love that these awesome vegan options are accessible to college students, especially since they're open until anywhere from 1-4am.
I tried the Gopher Zone, Drop Zone, and Cheese Stix and loved everything. The cheese stix bread is fluffy perfection, and it didn't have too much Daiya on it. The calzones had a little too much Daiya for me, and one calzone was enough for three separate meals. They use The Herbivorous Butcher's pepperoni, sausage, and chicken, and you can build your own or choose between the two calzones. Can't wait to go back!

Pros: Labeled vegan options, The Herbivorous Butcher's meats!

Cons: Too much Daiya
