Great local market

Large farmers market where you can find all kinds of seasonal produce and lots of locally produced products. Stays open from late May until late October. I've gotten everything from fresh flowers to wild-gathered mushrooms to freshly-baked pretzels and locally made maple syrup. There's usually live music later in the morning and the DDA often works with the MSU Extension and the Marquette Food Co-op to organize other food-centered events like tomato sampling or squash tasting. This is my favorite place to spend a Saturday morning when the weather's nice.

Pros: Good value for seasonal produce, Variety and quality of produce, Central location in downtown area

Cons: Gets crowded later in the morning, Sometimes there's a vendor cooking bacon
